Trey couldn't beat out Darnold or Allen. We're lucky to get a mid round pick. He's Dallas 3rd string too.

We don't want to hear excuses. We played Trey four games in three years and we knew he was 20 with a year of football when we drafted him and to show for three first rd picks and four games played for Trey we are left with what Brock is doing right now

This is supposed to help us beat Hurts and Mahomes?

Ridiculous!

Maybe he turns it around the last half the year but we anointed Brock over three first rd draft picks even injured all offseason and we were told this is Super Bowl or bust is why Trey had to compete for QB2

Brock or Darnold better make this all pay off or there will be a toll that must be paid

Where Trey were too hesitant, Brock seems way too much of a gunslinger?

He's gone three firsts are gone and we have Brock and we still have to beat Mahomes and Hurts

I'm gonna be right here with praise or condemnation for my team win or lose and I'll be here to dish it out accordingly

We are gonna see what Brock is and we're going to discuss it whether it be good bad or ugly and I don't need your permission to do so

I'll be totally fine if Purdy turns out as good as Brees but after three years and three firsts I was expecting to start to see fruit this year. When we went to Brock that expectation went unto him because this is what my team told me. We have half a season left to see it

I generally like what is in between Brocks ears. It's the lack of tangibles that I'm concerned with as it relates to today's game and beating the Hurts and Mahomes of the world. Brock has not one first round elite traits that I've seen yet so exactly how do we compete unless everything is correct around him because Brock can't be the guy that fixes team deficiencies and we were supposed to be getting that after three firsts

I dont deny his red zone turnover was horrible. But anyone blaming him needs to look at the defense and lack of a running game without TW.

When we spend three firsts we were supposed to have a QB that can overcome that at least half of the time. When we don't develop said QB for his backup then that backup better look like a guy we gave up on three firsts for. And he better look like it this year because I was told the last three seasons that this is a Super Bowl team and we can't develop a QB here even one we spent three firsts on because of that fact

I was told bump Trey because Brock is the real deal. Well, let's see it right god damn now

FWIW I thought trading Lance was crazy....

That being said, I'm still realistic on how young Purdy is so I expected bumps and bruises. The idea was this defense and running game could vary an iffy QB game... well....... lol

I can't fathom why you would rush him to play against that team without Trent Williams. Such a bad decision. Let him have three weeks to prepare for the game against the Jaguars. If it was a PO game ok I understand but doing this after what happened to Tua last season? This is malpractice. Stupid. As stupid as the first drive on offense.
Down by 7 in the 4th (with the defense -- as bad as they are right now -- only having given up 17 against a healthy top 3 QB), inside the opponent's redzone, Purdy's next two passes are awful interceptions which are flat out his fault with no room for debate. After the first one the defense didn't even give up points. Then he loses a fumble to round it out.
And after all that people are still arguing that he's not the main reason the game was lost.

Purdy is melting under real pressure just like Mullens did.

(Also, it was so to be expected that people would blame his "concussion", yet again.)

It's the Shannahan way.

Thats the concerning part. We know he can be good. Bit can he be good enough to overcome everything around him failing? Right now the answer is no and we have seen it 3 straight weeks. The Cleveland game, he gave the team a chance. But the last 2 weeks, an elite QB would've found a way because the opportunity was there. Our ceiling as an offense is higher but I don't see us overcoming a top team when the pressure is on.

Yup, he's directly responsible for the L's. Sadly, he's not the only one. It's been a full team effort.

Right. We should have least overcome the situation and got a win in one or a couple of those games. When things fell down around Brock we've seen ineptitude and inability to trade blows with more talented QBs or vs a better defense

I am not pleased and we better regroup off the bye week

Did he pass the concussion protocol or not?
