In college his style of play was Mahomes with a subpar arm. Make of that what you will.

Sooooooooo salty. Imagine tearing down a top 3 efficient QB that helped save our season. You're too salty All. Be happy we have 3 really good QB's all with different skill sets.

Had to mute him too, he's out of control. I simply don't understand why certain posters use one player's success to crap on another. It's being done to Jimmy and Trey. Ridiculous.

Did he save our season if the offense hasn't missed a beat with Purdy? The argument was that if Jimmy hadn't re-signed here we would have been stuck with Purdy at QB after Lance's injury, but that doesn't look as bad as we thought it would be.
That's not to say that Jimmy wasn't playing like a top 10 QB this year, because he was.

maybe, hard to tell imo.
Brock Purdy was 5 of 5 for 117 yards w/ 2 TDs on passes of 10 or more air yards in the 1st half vs. TB. He has the most deep passing TDs of any 49ers player this season (passing both Jimmy Garoppolo and Christian McCaffrey), according to #ZebraSports.

If we didn't have Jimmy, who knows how Purdy would've fared in Week 2 when Trey went down. He's had the chance to work quietly all season on learning the offense and adapting to NFL football, while Jimmy has been the starter.
