his composure, his confidence, his competitiveness, the way he attacks the defense. The way he was prepared and seized an unlikely opportunity (like brady). Both had really good defenses early in their career. Purdy has a much better offensive skill group than brady did though.
they play the game similar too with the whole chess match and attacking defenses.

Who knows what will happen over the next few weeks, but it's fun to be a 49ers fan right now! Hopefully we are all celebrating ar the end of the year!

Yeah I'll disagree there. Brady is damn near 6-6 and like 230lbs. His arm talent is much much better.

Hard to comp Brock to anyone after just two games. Outside of Brock and his ability to be ready, this shows how good our coaching staff and personnel around the QB is.

Yeah gonna fun to watch the outcome of all it!

I was just saying his traits and approach to the game reminds me of Brady, not necessarily how he looks playing.

i hope he drops a fifty burger on Carroll like he did to us with Harbaugh (nearly did).

So far Purdy is getting better and better with more starts. I wonder what his ceiling truly looks like.

If Brock Purdy has the same trajectory in his career than Tony Romo, talk about hitting a homerun. Romo was a top 10 QB for almost a decade. He was in the second tier between 5 and 10 obviously but still he was super talented.

As for the comparison with Mullens, I just don´t see it.
Mullens never was as mobile as BP. He couldn´t scramble like Purdy can. And it changes a lot of things in this offense. Purdy´s arm is better too and he seems to be pretty good I would say under pressure.
It´s only two games and who knows what will happen in Purdy´s career. But I can certainly say he´s better than Mullens. He´s clearly more skilled.

It'll be Interesting time see how he handles these next few games, especially through playoffs when he'll be feeling the pressure from the fans to maintain his level of play.

I'm still expecting him to be brought back down to earth at some point, but hopefully he continues to Impress and gives Kyle something to think about next season regarding the QB position.

What gives me hope for a deep playoff run is when Kyle senses something is off with Purdy (struggles), he can simply go to the well of the running game. Mask whatever he is going through mentally because he will struggle at some point. That's when we run CMC or throw him a quick screen. That's when we get creative with Deebo. That's when we give him an easy read to BA or Kittle. There's so many weapons that can mask his eventual struggle game. Bring the game down from All-Madden to Pro difficulty for him.

The first start of Nick Mullens

16-of-22 for 262 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions for a passer rating of 151.9.

With each completed pass, Mullens seemed to reach another historic benchmark.
• Mullens' passer rating of 151.9 was the best by a quarterback making his debut with at least 20 attempts since 1970.
• That passer rating was the highest by a 49er since Alex Smith had a rating of 157.1 on Oct. 29, 2012.
• Mullens joined Marc Bulger, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Marcus Mariota as the only players over the past 25 seasons to throw for three or more touchdowns in their first game, according to ESPN Stats & Information research.
• Mullens is the first player since Carson Wentz to throw for a touchdown in his first career game on the team's opening drive, and one of four to do it in the past 15 seasons, along with Wentz, Mariota and Matt Ryan.
• Mullens joined Fran Tarkenton (1961) and Jim Kelly (1986) as the only quarterbacks to throw for 250-plus yards, three-plus touchdowns and no interceptions in an NFL debut since 1950.
• Mullens is the first player in 49ers history to throw for three touchdowns in his first game with the team, according to Elias Sport Bureau.
• The last time a 49ers quarterback threw two touchdown passes on the first two drives of a game was Colin Kaepernick in Week 4 of 2016. The last time the Niners scored a touchdown on their first two drives of a game was Week 14 of 2016.

Things went so well for Mullens on Thursday night that his previously unverified Twitter account was granted a blue check mark -- during the game.

Yea. Mullens was awesome against that vaunted 26th ranked raider defense back in 2018.

Exactly this

If playcalling speaks louder than words, then that was proof Kyle didn't clam up after the nullified INT. We've seen Kyle be happy with a lead and get conservative going into the half. That did not happen versus the Bucs.

I'm wondering the same thing on how he handles a hostile crowd and the noise.
