Not in the short term we dont. The Broncos game was easily the worst quarterbacked game of the season to this point.
Ha. You just had to ruin it, didn't you. LOL

The obvious adjustment Brock Purdy will have to make will be adapting to defenses NOT blitzing him. He's been phenomenal vs blitz for 2 games, so drops into coverage (such as nullified INT today) are certainly coming.

Defeating those drops = the next step of Purdy's development
I have to say that I haven't felt this confident on our QB position in years. If Purdy keeps this up by the time Jimmy can return I don't think I wanna see Jimmy. If Purdy is playing well I can't see Shanny switching to Jimmy. And if Purdy wins the SB Trey Lance can forget being the starter in 2023.
If we beat Seatle this Thursday we will win every other regular season game. If that happens Lance will not be starting next season. If we get into to the playoffs we have a great chance of going all the way but anything can happen in the playoffs. That is a different animal.
Lance and Jimmy G can both see the writing on the wall. If he keeps winning they are both expendable.
Spoken like a true Jimmy lover who just loves those regular season wins. F*** the regular season. Give me someone who wins in the postseason and wins the last game of the postseason while not being a clear liability at the QB position like Jimmy was/is/has been.
If that is Brock sign me up. If not give me Lance.

Consistently adapting to defenses adjusting to him and still finding success over time is everything in this league...and health. He's off to a great start!

Kyle is the only one who knows why he calls games the way he does, but as a fan I want to see Trey get the same opportunity to throw it as Brock. Folks said for years that Kyle doesn't trust rookies, and maybe that was the case with Banks. Was it also the reason for his conservative play calling with Trey? Did he see something from Brock that made it to easier to air it out?
The vibe I get is that the scouts convinced Shanahan and Lynch to take a serious look at Purdy, and they liked what they saw enough to draft him. Then during OTAs and training camp, he really impressed them with his poise and polish in running the huddle. He showed much more than just the camp fodder/PS member they thought they might be getting. As a result, they dumped the $2,000,000 they had invested in Nate Sudfeld as the #2. (IIRC, that was before Jimmy signed.) That says a lot about the confidence they had in him down the road. Consequently, we should not be all that surprised Kyle has let the kid roll. Kyle saw what we are just now seeing.
I've heard some other former coaches and players say they didn't think CMC was the read on his long TD. Both Purdy's TDs came outside the numbers. Same amount as Jimmy had all year. So I guess what I'm wondering is if Kyle just said to hell with the sink and dunk game, or if this is Brock seeing those open receivers that people show Jimmy missing each game. Can't wait for Jonny's take on the game.

So you think the QB to the receivers alert. Brendel sets the protections off that. Fair. I would probably safe guess that too. Pre snap. What about post snap? If the DC brings a MLB blitz, what about responsibilities? Is that where receivers and QB need to have that built in...where you hear Kittle say he and Jimmy weren't on the same page there? Meaning if pressured, he was supposed to break off, sit down, out, in, etc.? It sounds like JT was in an offense that had post snap pressure responsibilities for receivers too. All of them.
When did JT say it was on the receivers to read that post snap? I can see if it was an option route say for Kittle to sit if it is zone or continue toward the sideline if its man. But the play Purdy audibled into was to strictly beat man coverage and didn't have that option route built into it, obviously.
Because he said this. That's a pretty good indication he was expecting post snap pressure adjustments from these three.
"Nobody is looking hot...Kittle? No. Juszczyk? No. Aiyuk is not getting his head around..."
So what is to say that the QB can also call for the RB to stay in to pick up that blitzer? Is it automatic that a receiver looks hot after the snap no matter what? Does the QB call that out to the receivers letting them know not to look hot after the snap because now there is a 6 on 6 situation?
I think he's calling that out because that part of the play is post snap.
But to your point, if in fact it runs through our QB pre snap solely (no post snap adjustments here), if Brock didn't alert them, they wouldn't be breaking anything off and would be just focusing on winning there routes.
You have as many questions as I have. LOL.
Maybe just one receiver is hot in each design so it's his job to keep at eye on it whether the QB alerts or not pte snap and adjusts accordingly.
I am just coming up with questions to your contrary in order to get you to understand that JT doesn't have enough facts to speak in such absolutes about Kyle's scheme. It very well could have just been a young inexperienced QB making multiple mistakes on a single play and ultimately it was that same young inexperienced QB that paid for it physically on that play.

Brock's father played college baseball at UF. Chris Collinsworth played college football at UF. Chris Collinsworth is calling the SB this year in Arizona.
And!!! Brock also shares a birthday with Bill Goldberg. Bill Goldberg beat the Rock at Backlash 2003 (PPV). Backlash was filmed in Massachusetts. Mark Wahlberg was born in Massachusetts. Mark Wahlberg and the Rock starred in a movie together. Mark Wahlberg's favorite player of all time is Tom Brady. Brock Purdy just beat Tom Brady.
Brock Purdy is the reincarnation of Tom Brady confirmed.

Some good velocity here
🎬Brock Purdy rips a nice corner stop here. Showing off the arm strength and driving the ball down the field. #FTTB

Neither do we hence, why it's important to discuss, explore and question. There was a time the WZ used to beam with that mentality. LOL.
As to JT, he can only go by his professional experience. Warner too. And they both align. So maybe it's the WZ residents missing something. It took nearly an hour just to get the WZ off the play call itself before we could even begin to talk about what he was originally trying to illustrate.
