Agree with this. There numerous places that 4.5-12mil that went to darnold could have gone instead.

Obviously they are both staying at this point but I feel we could have allocated darnold money other places better instead.

Lance is fine as QB 2. Darnold is fine as qb2. They are both leagues behind purdy so I find throwing money into that spot seems misguided.

Neither of them are going to carry us to a SB if purdy goes down. We have seen enough in the preseason to know that already. Lance seems to have more upside than darnold as well.

Hmm, needs to learn to put a bit more touch on those screens.

both Brock and Trey were not 100% healthy when the team signed Sam. it wouldve been incredibly reckless to ignore the most important position on the field.

Glad jackson is back, sounds like he's lookin good. He seems like an power forward playing DE. I hope he has a
big year this year.

Oh hell yeah. He's a stud man. A lot of 49ers qb records going to be set this year 😎. Hopefully hahahah

look at that practice today, ridiculously accurate and apparently the only INT came from a great freaky play by the D, those are the kind of turnovers people should be able to live with - sometimes people make great defensive plays, it just what it is. It's the bonehead ones like what Jimmy would do that are hard to swallow.

Kyle likes to bargain shop for linemen because he believes his scheme can cover the weaknesses.

I think more than anything, it was because of PTSD and health. At the time, we weren't sure when Purdy would be back and how he would look. They knew Lance was still green and coming back from a major injury. So idk if you want some scrub as the third qb, especially if either Brock or Lance gets hurt again - like what happened last season.

i don't have any issue with signing Darnold. It's not ideal but I understand it. They were trying to bolster the most important position and have quality options if Brock's recovery/future injuries come.
They do need to get better about shoring up the o line, the depth is very worrisome. I'm hoping we use our first this next draft to get a great tackle prospect to start grooming and either use at RT or as a swing tackle while he's developing.

Like Trey's screen pass vs Denver? LOL

Because I don't remember fans just living with that one.

I understand there's a difference between games and practice, and I love what I've seen with Brock and hope he's our future, but I have some concern that he will revert to some of oddly timed turnovers he had in college.

If he doesn't come back down to earth a little bit, he'll be compared to Brady a lot next season.

And I'm here for it.
Brock addressed the tracking of his practice INTs in the last postgame presser. his comments were the same as the CMC comment on the subject.

They should be trolling these types of fans more, lol. They've definitely earned it.
