Purdy did all he could to get back in the game: "I was taping my arm every which way, to see if something could help." He waited 30 minutes to see whether it would calm down. It didn't. The pain, both physical and mental, was miserable. Even in the moment, he knew dark days were ahead.

I remember those first few plays felt good, then boom. Just heart wrenching. Idk if we would of won but it would of been a close game.

Yes. I figured it would have been a 26-21 or 27-24 type game that could have went either way. Got to start this season off fast and give us a better chance at getting that #1 seed this season.

It's been obvious for a long time. QB1 has never been up for grabs. In the article that just came out, Kyle said it would take a complete melt down from Brock to change that. Which is extremely unlikely.

there is always competition but that doesn't mean a spot is readily available. Brock played at a really high level last year and did some special things. It doesn't make any sense to take reps from him in hopes that lance finally plays well. Lance is competing for QB2 for a reason, and it isn't cause he's shown how awesome he can be.

Looks like Brock is now on the 3 days on and 1 off, like the rest of the players. So no more first team reps for darnold and lance.

I feel like Brock has down played his arm since he returned. Dude is a warrior. Lol he was saying he had some "soreness" when he had broken freakin ribs and could barely throw the ball. Lol

so I think he's still working back from the injury but had got in a lot of valuable reps in the mean time.

i think over this next stretch of 3-4'weeks, we will see a much improved Brock and he will get crisper and sharper each day.

In that new article, Kyle talks about Brock made him so confident that he was calling plays differently. That's awesome. Most of us recognized that - we were actually seeing this offense at it's true potential, it was beautiful.
