Kyle's like, wait...Brock can run up the middle...

Uh oh!!

Start warming up Josh Johnson.

Lol you know it's coming
Kyle did an interview before yesterdays game with MM and he said that on the qb sneak against the dolphins, that wasn't supposed to be the play call cause of how the defense was aligned. When they tried to explain to Purdy why it was bad he said "I know it was bad, but I had to do it. Screw them". Hahaha I love it

I have to say that I haven't felt this confident on our QB position in years. If Purdy keeps this up by the time Jimmy can return I don't think I wanna see Jimmy. If Purdy is playing well I can't see Shanny switching to Jimmy. And if Purdy wins the SB Trey Lance can forget being the starter in 2023.

If we beat Seatle this Thursday we will win every other regular season game. If that happens Lance will not be starting next season. If we get into to the playoffs we have a great chance of going all the way but anything can happen in the playoffs. That is a different animal.

Lance and Jimmy G can both see the writing on the wall. If he keeps winning they are both expendable.

Lance is not expendable. He has not had the opportunity to show us what he can do. Jimmy on the other hand has shown us more than I care to see. He is by all means expendable.

First play.

"Not great scheme here for me."

This is also what Kurt Warner talked about. Either no hot read by design or he's to the back side which doesn't help the QB if blitzed. Result, Brock gets killed.

Anybody know more about why Kyle does this?

Isn't it obvious? His dream is to start Juice at QB and run 50x a game.

They need to fix that quick. Brock gonna get concussed and then we will get Josh Johnson

Lol what was Brendel doing on that play

I think he briefly forgot which side Kittle was on behind him to pick up the extra rusher, and didn't have enough time to correct to the other side.

Props to Kittle for getting just enough of both to buy just enough time. That's unit pass protection! Minus Brendel of course. LOL

Actually, Brendel has been improving his PP over the past three games. Four weeks ago his PFF PP rating was 63, IIRC. As of today, it is 70.7.

Brunskill has also improved. Banks, OTOH, has been gradually slipping down the chart.

Bowles dialed up some A-gap stuff that caused problems but Purdy got the ball out quickly enough to make it work.

Our QB's get murdered way too often. And for a variety of reasons. We need 3 legit QB's every year. LOL

QB by committee.

🤣 ⛵ ⛵ ⛵ ⛵
This guy is mad Jimmy is 110% a goner now and so he comes to Brock's thread and goes to the Trey thread to cause QB drama when Trey isn't even going to play or compete until next season, Keep me chuckling everytime 🤣 def of mental and emotional imbalanced 🤡

110% is a lot of goner... I've heard that before. No one's mad about Jimmy heading on if Brock is a stud.
Comparison to Mullen's first start is a bit scary but somehow this feels different.

The biggest difference is that the Raiders were awful on defense and giving up over 30 points a game going into Mullens first start. They gave up more than 25 points in all but 5 games.

Going into Purdy's first start, the Bucs had only given up more than 30 points once all year and that was to the Chiefs.

He audibled into the wrong play. That was on him

Fine. Let's blame Kyle for allowing Brock to audible.

That's usually how it goes around here. Find any and every reason to blame and point the finger at Kyle.

OMG ya'll are so sensitive. LOL

Listen to him again from :43-3:00 mark where he's talking about the design in general. Same with Kurt. That's two pro QB's talking about this design now.

I will say, he did cover a play (7:23) where it looked like Kyle has CMC run out of the backfield to the play side on Brock's rushing TD. Loved it.

Did Mullen beat the GOAT and a top 5 D and won big 2 weeks in a row vs 2 playoff teams? With his dad, mom and family cheering on emotionally yesterday in his 1st start? With the fans at the home stadium chanting his name? With the whole team behind him and I heard KS congratulates him after the game infront of the media I heard which was a rare thing.. shows the confidence KS has in Purdy..

Different indeed..

All those other 31 teams must be sad they missed and passed up on Purdy in the draft and the 9ers for some reason picked him as the last pick in the draft and now he's QB1 heading into the playoffs with our #1 D, everything happens for a reason..

I am not all that worried about Purdy getting intimidated by the noise in Seattle. In college, he played in many places where there was a lot of noise and thrived.

We are seeing a guy who has played a LOT of football in his career. He has seen a lot of stuff. Only the speed of the game is different. The media is giving us a reaction to the stereotype of a rookie, and Brock Purdy doesn't fit it.

That's odd to me because I always saw his PP as the strength esp. over his run blocking. Bowles is tough!
