Patrick Mahomes may be the GOAT.

Tom Brady is going to hold that title for a long time. Mahomes may take it over eventually, but it will take many more years for high level of play and championships.

Anyone watch quarterback on Netflix? Mahomes and the team have a day during the week where they can make up plays and Reid could implement them that week. He gives Mahomes carte blanche with play calling for the most part.

I love me some shanahan, I also don't see him allowing his players and QB that type of freedom. I don't even know if Mahomes would be who he is, if Kyle would have drafted him
BP is back, so we can look forward to an avalanche of 'welp, he's gonna turn into a pumpkin, JG 2.0' style posts. I really missed those

I just need Brock or Trey or whoever to beat him with this team and this coach in that big game. That is all I need. Eli beat Brady twice so I don't need Brock to be the goat but just to be able to beat him in the big one. If he can't then I don't know why we drafted Trey, then we will start Brock while letting Jimmy walk. If all we are gonna do is get to face Hurts and Mahomes I would have just stuck it out with Jimmy. I need us to beat the best guys and win #6. The QB that does that has my support
Did you all see, they had KS referencing Rookie of the Year the movie, when discussing BP

I don't really get your post, cuz that team isn't on the schedule, correct? Mahomes ain't all that. The GOAT? That is TB. And guess who beat TB?

He missed out throwing, but his accuracy was never really a problem, and lately he's even been doing that with qb guru's, and now he will have the whole pre season to sharpen that up. The much more important thing is that he had tremendous time to study each and every play he ran and analyze it, and even more importantly, time to study every single play in Kyle's playbook and mentally prepare how to handle every possible defense he could face running that play.

Can we cherry pick a stat that was good as some will be on a small sample size and say it could get worse? Sure. Overall, I think he will be better.

He's spent all of season recovering. Not improving. He will get some snaps this off season. He's not getting a full off season to improve. I mean there's no yeah but. It's the truth of the situation. It's still a steady process to get him where he needs to be.

You think his TD % will be better this yr? Why?

Does it need to?
I think his body of work will be better, because he's smart and he studies.

Mahomes already at the start of his career is a better player than Brady was at that point in his career IMO. Mahomes is already this early carrying his teams to chips and he is not riding an elite defense to do so. He just slaughtered an elite Eagles defense and a SF defense to win his first 2 chips. I would take Mahomes over Brady in a heartbeat and Brady is the GOAT until otherwise proven over the course of one's career. If I had money to bet and assuming Mahomes stays healthy I think he has a chance to have a career even better than Brady. Likely not as many chips as I am assuming the AFCW won't be the cakewalk the AFCE was throughout Brady's career but I think Mahomes is on that trajectory. Right now, Brady is still the GOAT over Montana

We all KNEW our season was done when Jimmy went out. Don't forget that feeling. No one does what Brock did. The Dolphins threw everything at him and the kid didn't buckle. This is with scout team reps. No one does this. Kid is special.

To win the chip you have got to beat the best. Right now I see 2 guys clearly standing in our way for the foreseeable future. Hurts in the NFC and Mahomes in the AFC. So long as both those guys are healthy anyone wanting to win a Super Bowl will have to go through and beat those guys. I know the AFC is loaded but ain't none of those guys got a chance manning up vs Mahomes year in and year out. I want a QB that can lead our team in the elimination tournament beyond Hurts and Mahomes so we can get this chip. I really felt with the team we had last year Brock had that chance but we didn't get to see it through due to injury. Once one of these guys gets it done it is case closed for me. Just like during the 90s. You knew that if you were gonna win a chip and MJ started the season you would have to go through him. We don't want runner up or came close. We want to come through

Agree 💯%, and I think Brock is a generational talent. We shall see.

I hope he's a stud like last year. Is teams adapting a real thing? We will see. I recorded a few games with Brock and there were a few throws batted down. I hope not an issue this season and where Treys size is appreciated.

But I can't deal with the QB circus anymore. One QB the entire season please.

Lance had the same issue with batted balls, and he's 6'4.

here's a video discussing

Yeah I think batted balls have more to do with the defense knowing when you are going to be throwing it and where because you are telegraphing your throws.

I don't recall Russell Wilson having a ton of batted balls and he is really short for a QB.

Only measurement that matters is neck thickness

This guy gets it
The stress test on his rubber band elbow will be soon...

Mahomes is definitely on pace to be the GOAT. That he still managed to win the Super Bowl despite suffering a pretty severe high-ankle sprain just a few weeks earlier is damn impressive. I wish our QBs had that level of grit and determination.
