Was an amazing change from what we had been used to. Hopefully it continues often in 2023.

Sometimes I'll see his highlight of the dime to CMC down the sideline for a TD and I'm always equally amazed by it. lol like everything about that throw and catch was perfect. it was a tough catch too by CMC.

Those are the kind of plays we haven't seen with any sort of consistency here since probably Young (Possibly Garcia - long time either way).

I hope it continues into 2023, as well. It'll be interesting to see how the Steelers play us cause they know he will be the starter and will study his film heavily for weeks before the game. The flip side is Kyle will have time to draw up some good plays for the Steelers defense.

I'm hoping we can go back to 2019 and get off to a strong start for the first time in years.
I just want the best QB on our team starting. From what I have seen so far, Brock Purdy is that right now.

But things like this change rapidly, so he better continue to improve and bring his A game whenever he is out there.

I was at the Dolphins game and after the first TD he threw after coming in cold I knew he had it. Looked like a duck in water

The symbolism of a 49er QB taking his first snap and getting destroyed. It ended that way too, ironically. Or not.

Brock took some hard hits. He probably injured his ribs on that play and kept playing. He seems durable to me, getting his arm hit at the right timing/angle was unfortunate, but he seemed durable as for as taking hits and playing through pain

He's absolutely durable, the stats show that.

he started 35 games in highschool (started varsity as a sophomore), then 48 or so in college.

he even played through a brutal rib injury and it didn't slow him down against seattle.

This UCL injury is a freak thing and the odds of him getting it are insane, just very unlucky. There is a reason only one other qb in history has had this procedure. so if anyone says that he is injury prone because of a freak injury, they don't know what they're talking about.

jimmy is/was injury prone. Lance has been injury prone (3 injuries in 3 full starts). Brock has had one major injury and that's all.

btw, everyone is injured every year. It's just a matter of what kind Of injury and can they play through it. Lance has had some you can't play through, obviously. He tried to play through the finger one but that didn't work out - which isn't necessarily his fault, but he was tough and tried to.

injuries just suck and for whatever reason, some guys can make it without anything derailing them. Hopefully Brock is one of those guys.

I rewatched that Cowboys game and Kyle called a QB delay up the middle in the RZ and the second he saw a DL bearing down on him, he got low and in the fetal position. I liked that feel and response. Smart.

He had ribs and a major injury within 8 games. That pretty much makes him right on par with every QB we've ever had here. Time will tell all but let's just hope he got them all out of the way for his career.

Yea Brock has played a lot of football. I agree that everyone is injured every year, and that's the category I put Brocks rib injury under. Hurts dealt with the shoulder, Mahomes dealt with the ankle injury, Brock dealt with the ribs. These kinds of injuries are going to happen. Not every year (hopefully) but they are unavoidable

The elbow play is just one of those perfect timing plays. Brady and Green had ligament damage on plays where their knees got hit at the perfect time/angle to snap their ACL. I don't think neither Brady or Green were injury prone
