I think you have it backwards… in any level of football I've played, the first teams don't usually practice against each other.

He really doesn't understand how the NFL works at all, just bad take after bad take. Probably listens to a bunch of Cohn.

In training camp, the first teams do often match up against each other.

Old article, I know, but I love Purdy's mindset revealed in this article. This is our QB whisperer in Kyle Shanahan saying this.
"I think he's got the perfect demeanor in that he's hard on himself and it's not phony," Shanahan said Monday in evaluating his young QB. "He believes that he can make any play, and he believes he should make the right play, and if he doesn't make it the right way, he is disappointed at himself because he believes he's capable of doing that. And then so do we, so I love someone like that because they're not going to take the easy way out. They're always going to put the pressure on themselves, and that's what gives him an opportunity to reach his max potential, and I think he's done that his whole life, and that's what's got him to this moment. And that's what's going to keep him going in the right direction going forward."

😍🫠

Love it. Not too worried about the mental, though injuries can affect that, even the most toughest of cookies. I think one of the things ppl like about him is yeah, he isn't phony and just works hard. Mentally, so focused. Seeing him prep/warm up for the Raiders game, honestly looked like an elite athlete. The whole team looked unbelievable. We had a team that defo could have won the SB.

Though, feels like too many variables rn, just when we were getting consistent. Urgh. .

I am hopeful but we shall see. He also has youth on his side, not like he got this injury at 40, so probably helpful with healing and such idk.

I think one of the biggest reasons ShanaLynch double dipped in the tight end market was the Brock Purdy Injury. Two tight end formations will allow more protection for either QB. Tight ends are usually bigger than fullbacks and are triple threat positionless players - Bocker, runner, receiver. That will help Purdy/Lance in the base offense. For Purdy, more receivers and taller receivers to throw to. Both tight ends Latu and Wilis are 6'5" - ish... For Lance, it's a great offense to play pass and QB run from - i.e. Baltimore's Lamar Jackson three tight end offense.

I think Purdy's mobility (as well as Lance's mobility) is a tremendous advantage in Kyle's passing game counters to the run game. Time and time again, we see Jimmy get sacked - and hurt - when the play action fake doesn't fool the defense. It's in these circumstances that Brock's mobility can buy time and find the open man, with his mobility. An example of this is the at the 5:50 time mark of this video.

Note: video is about Kyle's sail concept counters to his *run game.* Key to making this play work is a very good run game that makes the defense bite on the run fake. That's why CMC (I think) turbocharged Kyle's offense. You can't ignore CMC - he's a franchise home run back, if you ignore him. CMC is one reason why I think Jimmy and Purdy did so well in the latter half of the season, and why I think Trey is destined to be great in this offense also, once he gets more reps.

I've been saying it!! The clowns keep saying he wont be ready but I've been saying he will be participating in training camp. Lol read up on the rehab, it's common sense.

no one is starting week 1 but the best qb on the roster, Brock "dirty" Purdy!
