WR-Danny Gray-SMU, 3rd round 2022 NFL Draft

Word is his hands are trash.fast a f tho.

Didn't get a good impression in the first play by play film I reviewed. He's fast but that's obviously not enough in the NFL.

Then I took a look at highlights thinking that would show more of his strengths but that didn't showcase anything particularly special either.

Maybe it's just the system he was in, but it was hard to find all the specific qualities I want to see in a good receiver.

Great speed, terrible blocking, hands seem OK, but looked to me like he rounded his routes a lot.

Again, limited footage looked at, but didn't get a great first impression. Reserving final judgement till I see him actually play NFL snaps because you just never know sometimes until they're here.

Yeah, I worry he won't be able to get too many snaps initially because he needs some developing but that's okay. As long as he turns into a D jackson type!

Agree here. He is smooth, relaxed and totally in control with pads on.

I personally believe that this kid was drafted to replace the useless #17 and I don't see how he can get HELP us..

Jet sweeps done... you don't draft a player to run those..

A dude i don't know anything about. His highlight reel did show him snatching the ball out of the air tho, and he really didn't seem to juggle any of the catches.

Look's like a poor mans Henry Ruggs. Not quite the acceleration, but tons of top speed.

I suppose he could be dangerous.

I'll have to read though the thread and see if anyone has first hand accounts of the guy

Jesse Matthews would have been a better choice especially since he'll be available today.. he had the BEST hand in NCAA last year..

NOT SURE why we used a 3rd rounder on a Jet Sweep guy when that's all he can do... well, aside the fact that he'll be the FASTEST player on the team..
