SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at LOS ANGELES RAMS - 2021 Season NFC Championship Game

Painful loss. Yeah I didn't expect to get this far but honestly these types of losses hurt the worst because they're winnable games. I'd rather get blown out. At least then I know "ok they are clearly just a better team." These losses suck because we could and should have easily beaten them. Inconsistency at QB and a suspect secondary really cost us.

Yeah I don't get where this notion of "be happy we were supposed to get this far" came from. I personally would like to see a Super Bowl or two before I die. That isn't a tough ask especially with the rich history of this franchise.

It came down to he trenches. They won on both sides and are going to the SB for it. Couple questionable flags on he way don't hurt.

The 9ers actually got lucky with the "ward Int" there should have been a flag thrown on warner for helmet to helmet.

Post possession I believe it was duringWard's return, 49ers would have still had the ball.

This is absolutely pathetic.

The offense didn't look good the entire postseason.

The offensive line has been very offensive.

Yeah it would have still been our ball. At the 5 I believe.

Flag would have been after the play I believe so it doesn't take away the INT.

Simple. We don't have an established franchise QB. That's why we should be happy to get this far. The hope is that Trey Lance turns into one - will have to wait and see.
f**k, this one really really stings. Really proud of how far the team went this year. Looking forward to next year..... let's hope Lance doesn't bust.

Alex Mack was absolutely awful in that 4th Q...needs to be replaced along with the rest of the right side of the Oline.

Correct. But they still got lucky stafford made a poor decision and the ball popped up right to ward. Rams outplayed us but opened the door with mistakes. Thats the only reason it was close. Defense got shredded and offense could not move the ball.

This loss is on the whole team, particularly the coaching staff. Say what you want. McVay had a different and better strategy to take down our running game by playing more physical, and wore our defense down. The game was won at the line of scrimmage. They ran better and pass protected better. Shanahan and Ryans came in this game with nothing new or creative.

This
And failure to adjust in the second half. Our run game was shut down and Kyle insisted in running it up the middle for zero yards

Having to keep Kittle into block full time is limiting the offense. We basically made Kittle the 6th o lineman. Rams new that. They constantlloaded the box with 9 guys. Passing game needed to open this game up but couldn't. Rams did a better job. Especially leaking Blanton out on screens and dump offs.

tell that to Vikings, Browns, Bills, Cardinals, Bengals, Falcons, Chargers and Lions fans. some of those teams have never even been to the Super Bowl

Yea...we need a real center

LOL at comparing Jimmy to Manning.

Jimmy = Trent Dilfer with dimples

I agree. That's the point I'm making. Average QBs don't often win SBs. Manning with the Broncos SB stunk but he's still Peyton….you trust him not to lose you the game.

I won't even mention Foles or Flacco because for their SB runs they were playing out of their minds. Jimmy even in our SB run threw the ball what? 20-25 times over those first two games? I love his heart but QBs like him win once a decade, max.

Mitchell was injured and gassed. Most upset with Kyle today. He was putrid.

Anybody complaining about the refs is clueless. Niners took at least 3 cheapshots we saw on tv and only got called for 1.

The cheap shots was too get into the Rams head but that didn't work

Naw it was bad s**tty football especially that last one on Ward to obj
