What will Jimmy's trade value be in the offseason?

it does this team zero good to have jimmy on the roster come game time. due to the ego of lynch. jimmy will not get cut now cuz lynch is either unable or unwilling he played a big role in bungling this thing. so let jimmy et 100 per healthy as if he ever is.... then try to convince someone.. not demand arrogant lynch.. try to coax someone to give you a 4th round pick on draft day. people now pretending jimmy being on the roster is a good thing is stupid in my opinion but i get it . whatever the front office does or decide.. many will blindly support it and help them promote it

Yes the FO is too arrogant or prideful to admit a mistake and just cut him. It's par for the course with how they value the veteran players over new players.

They have to maintain the illusion it's some 4D level chess moves they are making, us peasants just do not understand because they are way more intelligent then us.

You keep him and pretend it was all planned and it's great he is still here. Just never admit any mistakes.

Winston played 7 games lol. Listen I was wrong I thought there was a market for Jimmy. If he couldn't land a starting gig with that many teams in need of a QB and a s**t draft…it tells you everything you need to know on what the league thinks about with him.

lol so his timeline for his ACL is damn near the same as Jimmy's shoulder. Both are expected to be ready at the start of training camp....one got paid $28M ($21M GTD) and is on a new team.

His "injury" is not the main reason no one is willing to trade anything of substance for him. His "contract" which at this point is only GTD for $8.9M isn't a reason either.

That's not really apples to apples. Winston was there last year and already knows the players and has on field chemistry. If he has signed the same contract with a different team, then you would have a point.

Yup flyn nailed it. No new scheme to learn which was the Colts concern with JG he wouldn't be healthy when they are doing some offseason install stuff for the first time with him.

Disagree here. I mean Pete Carmichael is OC, he's been there since 2009. That's a very long time. He knows Peyton's offense in and out, even occasionally called plays prior.

Peter King on the Herd today basically confirmed my thoughts yesterday:

The only reasonable trade option is Carolina and taking back some of Darnold's contract. That's it for right now. Or they could wait until August and see if a team gets desperate.

He didn't suggest cutting Jimmy as an option.

Nothing like having your most expensive player being the backup and being avg on top of it…perfect way to building a super bowl roster derp.

This team was a Super Bowl roster with Jimmy G leading it. We went to the Super Bowl with Jimmy G.

And they could have done the same s**t with case Keenum or someone of similar play all the same…that doesn't make Jimmy great. It makes the team he was on great. You know all these yet continue to toss out BS. That's why people call you a troll in here
so you're saying we can't sign any more Free agents unless we restructure other players and cuting jimmy doesn't do any good ?

in Short, FA is over for us ?

This thread is laughable…everyone wanted Jimmy moved and now now it's perfectly clear no team wants him. Right on cue you got the defenders back in here trying to do whatever they've been trying to do for over a yr.
sadly. you said nothing wrong.. its like lynch sent out a order to his minions. we must now build jimmy back up since he will be on our team this year. i was never as tired of alex or even ck as i am with "jimmy"

Not all offensive coordinators will be willing to revamp their offenses for Jimmy. They'd expect him to make the sideline and deep throws and Jimmy simply can't deliver. Shoulder aside, Jimmy is limited. Yet another reason to cut bait.

sounds like he would be a good fit for seattle.. that is fine with me.

Yup I'm hoping for Darnold coming back if that's what we need to seal the deal. Would have to split his cap hit in some agreed upon way. We eat some they eat some. Panthers would get a big upgrade at QB. We would get McCaffrey is my hope or picks. Their picks are a little weird early first which is untouchable then nothing until 4th so getting player back may make most sense.

Why would we want McCaffrey? He's breaking down and is paid a lot at a position that the 49ers have been finding gems at.

our front office does have a history of over valuing players.. but they took jimmy to a new level. i will reset my bar and have come to realize. the best thing is to hang on to him... just in case concerns about the shoulder are real.. and i think its bs..... but just to be fair. keep him till drat day and then ask someone what they would give you and take it. there is no good coming out of camp if jimmy is there taking reps from trey and kyle and lynch running their mouth saying may the best man win. we never spent all that capitol so we can play this stupid little game again. i get to a certain degree why we did it last year. but jimmys later half of the year and his putrid losing the rams game by himself told me and showed me all i need to know

do they have a spare o line or d line guy we could get if that is a possible spot for jimmy

I was thinking roughly half of Darnold's contract and maybe a 2023 2nd/3rd depending on how much of the contract we take on. Darnold sucks but I would hope Kyle could make him a better backup than Sudfeld.

I'd rather just trade him for their 4th or a 2023 pick.
