Would I like a trade for comp of course everyone would but until that happens what do you want me to do just post here about maybe we can get a bag of half eaten doritios. That's been done before hundreds of times ya don't need more of that do ya? Trying to stay positive here. We got an MVP candidate in Lance who will make a major year 2 jump and a starting caliber QB with 99 rating as well that's amazing at the most important position in sports we got it covered baby. I'll feel better one those big hits TL takes with JG on the sideline we won't miss a beat.

When you say something that deserves a "Derp" I'm gonna post it. That comment most certainly was one of those.

"We got an MVP candidate in Lance who will make a major year 2 jump"

DERP!

Oh man people using derp

See what you started NY

also to billbird just gonna leave this here:

Keep it about football maybe . I like our QB room it's strong imo do you disagree?

I didnt know there was a history of the word on this board. Its not a word I use, ever. Keep it about football? OK. The QB room of Lance and Sudfield likely needs one more QB. It isnt, nor should it be Jimmy.

So right now our QB room is Lance and Sudfield. I like the potential of it, yes.

Imagine being upset about someone using the word "derp" lol wtf?

Say something ridiculous you should expect fans to criticize it.

SF paying sudfield $2M lol…. you're not giving him anything close to that unless you think he's the backup…they had no intentions of keeping Jimmy and that signing is proof of it.

you got people saying now that the 2nd they had on the table was from DC. The trade was almost completed and Jimmy and his party said they weren't gonna go there.

All he has to do is do what Jimmy did last season...which, lets be real here.....shouldnt be THAT difficult to accomplish. Maybe Trey isnt ready ready, but he doesnt have to be ready ready to replicate a Jimmy season. You guys are acting as if Jimmy is some irreplaceable HOF quarterback. He isnt. He has been one of the weakest links on the team the last few seasons, and a large reason why we didnt advance to the SB last season.

This is turrible as Sir Charles would say. He drove us 88 yards in 60 seconds Week 18. Without that we do not make the playoffs and you don't get to blame him for not making the SB. We had one of the great 3 game stretches in club history. Beat (eventual Champ) LA on the road, Beat DAL (#1) offense on the road, beat MVP Rodgers on the road. Amazing. None of this happens if JG doesn't clutch up in the end of regulation Week 18 with a great drive and clutch throws. People forget this. To blame him for not making the SB when we wouldn't have made the postseason without him is a bad take.

We can disagree on a lot but let's agree on some things. I can agree he's not an irreplaceable HOF QB. Also Trey doesn't have to be elite I can agree on that although he will be imo.

I am talking about the NFCCG when I made that statement. You bringing up week 18 is completely irrelevant. Jimmy played great in week 18. I have no issues there. He played like s**t in 3 playoff games, one of which cost us a trip to the SB. So basically everything past the bolded has nothing to do with what I was saying, other than the last 2 sentences.

DERP!

I bet we get more than NOTHING if they trade Lance compared to your Jimmy. No one wants him. You were wrong about him and the league backed it up.

also I didn't say that try again

Who said that?

Cause of all people you should talk.... "We're getting 2 firsts for Jimmy" over and over and over.

I get you're talking about the NFCCG but let's get real you gotta admit if we don't win Week 18 there is no NFC Champ game to complain about that was my point.
This thread is laughable…everyone wanted Jimmy moved and now now it's perfectly clear no team wants him. Right on cue you got the defenders back in here trying to do whatever they've been trying to do for over a yr.
Maybe we could trade Jimmy for Baker in exchange for a pick lol.

lol so his timeline for his ACL is damn near the same as Jimmy's shoulder. Both are expected to be ready at the start of training camp....one got paid $28M ($21M GTD) and is on a new team.

His "injury" is not the main reason no one is willing to trade anything of substance for him. His "contract" which at this point is only GTD for $8.9M isn't a reason either.

That's not really apples to apples. Winston was there last year and already knows the players and has on field chemistry. If he has signed the same contract with a different team, then you would have a point.

Yup flyn nailed it. No new scheme to learn which was the Colts concern with JG he wouldn't be healthy when they are doing some offseason install stuff for the first time with him.
Silver lining, at least ESPN is finally talking about the Niners lol!

Sure. So in the last 4 games of his 49ers career, Jimmy played well once.
One thing that isn't often discussed with regard to Jimmy is Kyle had to completely change his offense to suit Jimmy's strengths/weaknesses. Almost all big plays were quit hitters over the middle. Not all offensive coordinators will be willing to revamp their offenses for Jimmy. They'd expect him to make the sideline and deep throws and Jimmy simply can't deliver. Shoulder aside, Jimmy is limited. Yet another reason to cut bait.

This isnt a good point at all. The Saints lost Sean Peyton. They absolutely are not running the same scheme as they did last year. Similar players and familiarity, sure. But still a new system, so that pretty much invalidates his point.

He played what 7 games? He's got no chemistry with their best WR Thomas who didn't play all yr. Different HC different play-caller as well.

Reports say INDY was also interested in Winston all the same. The injury was not the major dilemma with Jimmy.
