Yeah, both aren't going to happen.

More like neither. But this thread is a fun read.

Yeah, the talk in here is going to be fun leading up to him getting traded.

After Jimmy wins the Super Bowl I think they will trade Trey Lance instead. He didn't get us there this year

Lmao
The guy quarterbacked oneof the most memorable games of 49er history, played his heart out with an injured thumb, the players love him, and all some of you can talk about is the day he's traded. Disgusting and Terrible.

I vowed to lay off shanny after the last game. It's clear Jimmy haters can't do the same.
No hate here but lets welcome the new guy.He must be properly thrust to the wolves.Lets take first rounder(s) for Jimbo!

Dude it's a thread discussing his trade value because in the real world he's more than likely getting moved after this season. Case keenum had the Minnesota miracle a couple years back that got them to the NFCC....great plays and drives happen in the NFL, that's why we watch the damn games.

Coming into a thread where you KNOW what that the topic is and playing the victim card is ridiculous...you don't like the topic DON'T come in here. plain and simple.

FWIW no one cares if you laid off shanny, that's your thing...you don't get to control the narrative because you realized Kyle is a much better HC then you thought. You calling people "haters" because they don't have the same view as you on a player is old as s**t at this point...basically what you're saying is YOU were a Kyle "hater" then?

Just give it a rest already...this defensive schtick playing the victim by a handful of posters is making this forum unbearable.

Let's talk football and guess what, trading is part of that.

Besides that, it's still not clear that we are going to be better with him gone, so a deal needs to tip in our favor to take the risk.

It's a salary cap thing. We need the money to pay other players. It would be nice to keep him but not likely to happen.

The cap exploding. For a starting QB who wins like he does his salary is a steal.

We don't need to move his contract to make room for signing the guys we want.

I have absolutely no problem with the discussion. I think it's the jabs that people keep making. The guy has been nothing but professional, and yet some fans continue to show no respect. It's the equivalent of a guy divorcing the mother of his two children because he found this 20 year old piece of ass, and he continues to talk s**t about her even after the divorce.

I think the niners will fetch a 2nd rounder for him at this point in 2023. If he goes to the saints or broncos they immediately become relevant again.
If JG takes us to the Super Bowl and wini, it'll be at least 2 1st and a 3rd.

Yes we do...Deebo and Bosa aren't stepping onto the field without new deals. They need to pay Tomlinson. You'd think they'd like to keep Key/DJ Jones and pay Greenlaw and or Al. They need to actually upgrade the roster/depth. Maybe bring in some secondary help, EDGE help etc. Tartt is gone. K Williams is gone. They do not have a 1st rd pick for a couple years to off set the cap. Ward is a FA after 2022 and what you doing at RT?

Currently they have the 22nd highest cap in 2022...at a little over $11M. They have next to nothing to roll over from this year as well. They can move a little money around BUT it's not gonna give them some massive cap relief.

The cap isn't exploding until 2023 and it's all relative, the cap revenue goes up so does players contracts. Guys aren't making the same money while the cap goes up. Everyone's deal will be more all the same.

Toss in you should take advantage of Jimmy's trade value, while it's actually good. His value is so week to week and we've seen that in here all year. Lance is the future and needs to play, his rookie contract allows SF to resign and build an even better roster then what we currently have. This isn't about one year...it's about building a better team for a couple years.

You clearly have a problem with it...you've complained about it in multiple threads. What jabs are you even talking about? People can say good last couple drives Jimmy. Great locker room guy Jimmy AND talk about life after him, plus what SF could get for compensation in a thread MADE to discuss that! IF you can't handle that type of convo then don't come in the thread. Complaining about it is dumb, playing the victim card like everyone should kiss his ass no matter what and we're just a bunch of meanies is just getting old.

The moment Lance was drafted, things changed and even Jimmy knows that. You can still root for the guy and realize he's not the future. It's football and players are always trying to take your spot.

Listen if you think SF is gonna pay $27M for Jimmy next yr, let their highly invested rookie sit (and eat up another year of his rookie contract), get no compensation for him, and lose FAs along with not being as flexible to actually upgrade the team...have at it. I highly doubt that's the plan.
I do think the last game improves his value and he has another chance to improve it again on Sunday. I think a 1st round pick in 2023 is potentially on the table, we'll see.

I'm hoping some AFC team that is desperate might offer a Hershel Walker deal. But I'll take a couple of high round draft picks from either Denver or Pittsburg. I do not want Jimmy in the NFC - he's just too dangerous a QB to do that. That would be beyond stupid, in my opinion.

As for his value, he keeps winning in the playoffs, his value increases exponentially in my opinion. Two 1st and a 3rd - I think - is a good possibility.
