That sunny side of the field kills the crowd participation.

The stadium should have had a modern design for Santa Clara.

Yesterday was the first game where I went to Levi's sober. I thought being sober would help with the heat because I hate being drunk in the sun. It definitely helped, but was still hot af. 1st quarter was manageable but by 2-230pm I had to get out of the sun for a bit.
I do think it's the damn glass from the suites reflecting additional heat.

It really is crazy how hot it gets there. Yes, I am very aware that all of us Bay Area residents are soft when it comes to heat. But it literally feels 15 degrees hotter in the stadium than it does outside. That HAS to be stadium design.

my seats are in the upper level right where the sun hits for most of the game. I wore a cotton shirt and loose fitting shorts yesterday and every time I got up/out of my seat, my shorts were soaking wet like i'd jumped into a pool. all sweat. so gross.

Serious question. If I buy tickets for a game what section/area is best to avoid this heat. Honestly it sound brutal. Also FYI coming from Indy.

So, basically, you're Forty Whining about people making objective criticisms against our team?

There actually aren't that many objective criticisms being offered in these threads. Almost all of the regular posters, with a few notable exceptions, have some narrative they're pushing or some player or coach they hate and feel compelled to complain about constantly. Or like to pretend they know more than they do about one thing or another. I have always felt that forty whiners was a pretty appropriate nickname

Just wondering how other fan based sites are after a loss ? They all can't be objective, and surely many posters are biased and angry.

if you dare be critical of the team or lynch or kyle.. your fandom is questioned. if some of you think there are no legit concerns about this team and the head coach and dc and gm... well,. sorry. you are just in denial

I'm not in denial, I'm a HOMER. There's a difference.
It's the demographics
It's healthier to stay away from the forums on game days or from the threads regarding any player not popular with the clueless fanbase. It's fun to laugh so much stupidity but then it gets boring. Bunch of grown men crying about a game.
It's very simple, if the team wins cool, celebrate. If the team loses, whatever, who cares. Getting angry from a pointless game takes you nowhere.

I use to get pretty wound after a niners loss. Not anymore, its not worth it especially when you have zero control over it. More important things in life. You have to put things in perspective.

This. Take the loss, move on to the next week.

it is what it is. It's out of our control.

So this, when I was younger I was a wreck watching the game and annoyed all week. As I've gotten older I'm upset yes but I get over it. I'm just becoming numb as a 9ers fan expecting bs anyways

Agree FF. I even prepare myself now that on any single play a starter is going to go down for the year and we will loose at least 1 player per week for 1+ games. Not because I want that to happen but it's much less disappointing.

I just enjoy watching football and don't give a crap who wins or loses.
Am I supposed to hate the Raiders and not enjoy the football they are playing? Not enjoy watching the Cardinals and Rams playing great football? Or the Chiefs with an elite talent at QB? Just because of pathetic hate and fandom? lmao yeah it's your loss if you'll be miserable watching football because of some pointless fandom.

Same man, my whole day would be ruined. My week would be crap.

but I've learned to just the take the loss.

players move on from losses, no reason we shouldn't either.

I don't let it control my life anymore.

Players do move on. They smile and hang out after losses. They trade jerseys. Can't let this stuff bother you.

Facts

We'd all be smiling too if we got paid 100K - 2+ mil to play a game of football for 2.5 - 3 hours, win or loose.

To be a homer you have to be in denial at all times. Some of you should have been around here circa 2003-2006. Posters thought Dennis Erickson and Mike Nolan were going to make us into the next dynasty
Probably not wise to live vicariously through ones favorite team.Guaranteed to be disappointed.Sure is a blast when they win it all though. It was a lot easier back in the days of Montana and Rice.
Holey s**t. Forgot about Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush, great guitarist!
