that's a false narrative and also a dangerous narrative, cuz if you have the narrative that cops are out to get you, you don't comply and you do stuff like what demo was doing. if cops are on scene they are giving what are known as lawful orders, you have to comply. if you don't, you risk arrest for obstruction, which is what seems to have happened here. pretty easy to not get arrested for obstruction, if he simply followed officer commands, he would not have been arrested, he got himself arrested, that's the problem. bad judgement.

i don't equate it to a speeding ticket. a speeding ticket is a moving violation, and an infraction. not a misdemeanor. you can get a speeding ticket, and get your citation, and drive off on your way. here he was arrested. how often have you been arrested? have you ever been arrested?

I have for drunk driving. He toook me in and never even gave me a field sobriety test. Got a copy of the arrest record and he had me failing all the tests he never gave me. Blood test showed I was under the limit. Charges were dropped.

Eh lets not go to down the politics path. It's already starting to happen lol

Didn't see any politics in a factual reporting of a personal experience. I think you are seeing politics where it isn't.

Nah. In California they are HUNGRY for money so they are going to be ticketing anyone they see double parked when they need a little boost in their funds. Having a gun in the open is just dumb. Throwing the keys from your car to your rich/famous friend is a good way to lose friends.

A buddy of mine messes with police by leaving an empty holster in his truck, he's white as can be and cops stop him all the time. He's had his truck searched several times for the "gun" that he doesn't have.

Yeah if it was his gun this would have gotten alot more ugly lol.

Just applied for my CCW here in Az but it's not even needed to carry or have it in your car. When pulled over, just be honest if they ask if there is a weapon in the car and keep your hands where they can see them, and be polite. Sign your ticket and keep going.

Speaking of speeding tickets and misdemeanors, this reminds me of a case back in the day.

Showed up to court for a speeding ticket, and another guy doing the same was our eventual first round pick in 2010, OT Anthony Davis.

He was still at Rutgers. The judge looks at him and the name, and just says "Case dismissed, good luck on Saturday".

I got a full fine and some points on my license.
