Didn't we say the same thing about Amber Thomas last season?

So he's gonna be Ambry and we should just cut both now? He's started over Ambry so there's a plus. We hope he'll get better.

Maybe, but Lenoir has a much larger body of work. He has had a few rough spots in the last few weeks of the season, but overall he's been solid.

Good stuff. Hope this gives him confidence for the rest of the playoffs. He's an important piece because I don't think a 34 year old street free agent would do better (Jenkins).

Hes had streaks of where hes played well, agree with hope he plays like this the rest of the playoffs.

He definitely played better than Mooney this game.
Lockett and Metcalf are the best Wr combo they'll face in the playoffs

or Lamb/whoever

but if he can play at a high level and Mooney shakes off that bad game this weekend our secondary could be a strength as well.
Hopefully this muffles the D Mo slander for a little bit.

His "bad play" has been excessively exaggerated. Every time his name was brought up during the broadcast on Saturday, they would touch on how he has been the weak link and how teams pick on him in coverage, but not once did they bring up any stats to back that... Although they did mention that he is kind of the fall guy because the defense is so good.

I was starting to feel bad for the guy.

Change the narrative, have another game this week young man.

This. I heard people said he is bad at making a play on the ball. In some of the plays where the WR made the catch on a deep route, he got a bit of the ball. He is not like Spoon who often completely missed the ball.

He may not be a bad player, but he is the weakest link in our defense, and offensive coordinators are not dumb. They will construct an entire game plan around exploiting him. So it makes sense that he would give up lots of passes. Some of the best DBs never get balls thrown in their direction at all. I'm glad he had a good game. It's too soon to crown him, but I hope he keeps making progress. On the downside, Charvarius Ward had an off game. Let's home he gets beter too.
Demo played a great game. I'd say previously his actual coverage has been excellent, but his ability to compete for the ball has been lacklustre. Hopefully he is turning a corner with that.

Or AJ Brown and Devonta Smith?

I think the first one built him a little confidence in himself. I expect he will keep playing well.

He won't be lights out if you put him 1 on 1 with a teams top receiver and he gets 20 targets. That should not be expected of any corner though. That's why you bring help and double guys.

Same with both wards. Guys may have big games against them but if it's just volume we shouldn't hold it against them.
