my biggest question is always they didn't they give fields much of a look? Kyle always kinda dismisses him and really only says it was between Trey and Mac, which I find odd. I thought fields was the ideal choice based on what Kyle was saying he wanted.

regardless, I don't believe Kyle was forced into taking Trey, at all. Especially after he experienced his father being forced into taking RGIII in Washington - no way.

Kyle wants the passing first. I think that made Fields take a back seat as a prospect. I think Trey seemingly had a better foundation to build a 'pro style' QB than Fields. I think the running probably separated Trey from Jones (who of course had the passing).

Said if before but Fields isn't very different here than Lance. There's no way that 1st year player beats out Jimmy G, unless Kyle fully commits to being the Ravens. Even then I think Lamar is a better passer than Fields.

I don't think any of them would of started over jimmy, either.

I just felt like fields was the superior athlete and dynamic runner, to really create 11-11 but he was a project in the pass game, still is.

we will see how it all plays out, it is what it is. I think we are in good shape with Brock, so I'm not crying about it. It's easy to play Monday morning qb. I just enjoy looking back at my own evaluations and seeing what I missed or got right.

People want to blame whomever besides him. Acting like he doesn't have the goat HC they're making the decisions.

McCorkle never got to play with Kittle or CMC. Or Deebo or Aiyuk. Keep the energy the same there pimpin'

Such a ridiculous rebuttal. You are better than this Kriz.

I thought it was perfect.

Its a pretty stupid rebuttal because this is about what Trey got to play with in comparison to what Brock did. Has nothing to do with Jones.

The excuses keep piling up. The lack of reps, his weapons, the weather, etc. If you have to keep coming up with excuses to defend a players performances maybe its time to start holding the player accountable for the trajectory of his own career? I really do not want to see Trey fail. I truly want him to succeed but doubt is starting to seep in at this point. He really needs to bounce back next week.

NY cries about Brock getting to play with talent and Trey doesnt. the clips were used to show that isnt always the case.

So yeah, this isn't about Brock versus Trey. This is about you people being haters.

like NY, you like to assume this about people. EVERYONE knows when you assume, you make an ass outta you and me.

and by me, i mean you.

I'm not talking about NY's position. I'm talking about the tone of this thread, which is clear from the context of my post. Don't be an ornery -ss. And by -ss I mean you, being an -ss.

EDIT: Deleted a's to make it a non-word because I'm aware that mods will let boast call people an ass and then suspend the person who does it back. So I didn't call him an ass. I implied he was acting like an -ss, which isn't a word.

I find hypotheticals fun at times, but we'll never know. I'm in agreement with you about Brock in any case. Hope it goes how we all want it to.

And also the Deep State stole the election too right? NO. Shanahan made the pick after hearing from Lynch and his evaluators. He certainly had doubts, but he made the pick because he figured they had Jimmy for two years for Lance to fix his throwing and get reps here and there. And then Lance got hurt, over and over, which short-circuited his development. And by then, Purdy showed up as a potential top ten QB, and thus the Trey experiment ended.

But at no point ever was Shanahan forced into picking Lance. That's pure idiocy. He was convinced.

Could be the seizure thing played a role. Could be they just didn't like his personality. But probably, I think, it's that Fields was more of a real scrambler. He was the one most of us wanted.

Again, like you chose to ignore earlier, Brock faced 3rd/4th stringers in the 4th QTR in that example you gave.

Trey played in the 1st QTR vs some vets.

So again, you are going out of your way to do what 5 Rings claims some are doing.

im not going out of my way to do s**t. we're talking about the excuse "can a player perform without CMC, Kittle, Deebo etc."

So resort to name calling instead, very intellectual.

Likewise. I want to see our trade work out. It may not have to if Brock stays how he is, but with the injury scares, QB2 seeing a more than precedented amount of time is not out of the realm of possibility and right now I don't feel good about either.

Do you think Brock starts next game for a series or two? Also, who do you think goes first - Sam or Lance?

im guessing Brock may play a series or two and then Sam will take over for the first half. Lance will play third quarter and then Allen the fourth.

No idea on Brock. I thought he prob wouldn't play but I'm thinking it looks like he'll see at least some time in one of the last two.

I'd probably bet that Darnold gets up before Lance, but really don't think it will matter either way. I think Lance will probably see the most snaps.

Yeah I keep going back and forth on Brock, I think it's 50/50. He's finally off of restrictions so he will get more reps now without the third day off.

What makes you think Lance will get the most reps?

His role is probably the least settled as of now.

So sorta like he will get the most opportunities to lock down QB2 and if he doesn't perform, it goes to Sam?
