One couldn't throw a football until recently. One has been throwing since early this year. Do you see the difference or not?

To be fair nobody used rust during conversations about Trey's practices during OTAs or minicamp.

I feel some of you are way too sensitive about what random people say on the internet.

Either some very pent up fans or very depressed fans, lmao. Lighten up guys, it's just practice, who gives a crap what the media says.

It's mind boggling

Do you remember when you freaked out someone posted this play? You cried that fans hated Jimmy so much.

And ironically the context was someone said, "Jimmy would have made that throw" in response to a pass Trey missed, and you still took it as hatred towards Jimmy.

It's remarkable how inconsistent you are.

He can be so special if kyle is able to get him where he envisioned him

Agree 💯% that Trey has all the Tools to be a great QB. If there is any coach out there that can develop him to be Steve Young 2.0, it's Kyle. So far it's looking good for Trey. My hope it he makes it hard for ShanaLynch to make a decision between Trey and Brock.

Having said that, Brock is so far ahead of Trey right now. (I.e. no interceptions in the playoffs) It will take a horrible preseason for Brock to lose his QB1 status and Trey has to knock it out of the park all three preseason games, in my opinion.

Let's post up the Jimmy G overthrow in the SB and have some fun laughs shall we?

Why is it you guys don't find things funny when they're making fun of the QBs you care about?

Dov literally used the video as proof for Lombardi saying Trey had his worst practice on Friday and people spread that as if it was factual. lol how funny!

Exactly. These dudes call it context when it matters to them, call it excuses when it hurts their point. Now it's jokes when Lance's good play is ignored and instead his overthrow to a staff member during a footwork drill is posted up.

Same guys then act all shocked when bias is called out. Now that's a joke.

I'm sorry, but there is a difference between an ankle and getting cleared in April, or so, and having your throw arm blow up and being cleared day 1 of TC, which just started a handful of days ago. If ppl can't see this

Yes there is a difference. However in case you need to be reminded of this there are different aspects to playing football and throwing the ball. There is just as much related to footwork as there is the throwing motion. Trey had another procedure in December. When he was throwing with the team in May/June, nobody brought up him being rusty or having to work out the kinks.

You can't throw without an arm and you can't throw in the NFL without legs either. Both guys had a major injury they were recovering from. Brock is understandably getting the rust factor brought up. Trey didn't.

If you can't see the difference that's a you problem.

lol this thread

If you understand how throwing a football works no worries, it's not like we're all elite athletes here.

Hopefully you understand that comment/emoji has nothing to do with an argument about throwing a football. It's a comment on fans who can't stop crying about hypocrisy or double standards.

Smokey, I don't remember seeing you post in the Jimmy threads, so I don't fault you for not seeing the context behind faithful6's posts. But he's being incredibly hypocritical here because he's done the exact same thing as Genus on several occasions, with Jimmy.

And of course he, not anyone else, is the one mocking Genus. That's the issue I have with it. I haven't read all of Genus's posts but I assume I don't agree with them either, but it's hard to ignore the years of context of who's mocking him.

Myself? I'm just enjoying having football back. I'm not overreacting to each camp report. Trey has to prove himself more than any QB on the roster and overcome the position his play and injury in week 2 put himself in. Like you said, we know he's not overreacting to the videos/reports coming out.

Overall I'm excited for this QB room, I'm hoping Trey makes some strides in camp and takes the #2 spot, and I look forward to Purdy vs Pittsburg week 1. I think Purdy will be just fine and have a great year if healthy.

I wasn't referring to you even though I've argued with you about hypocrisy before. I don't care at all about the ongoing feuds cliques of posters have had with each other over the years, beyond the fact that it just mucks up any substantive discussion that can be had (as much as that can happen on a board like this).

I will say that my personal observation is that the posters here who are the loudest about media bias and hypocrisy are some of the most biased posters themselves… and they don't see it. Nonstop pretzel logic.

Either way, I'd prefer talking about the sport, and mostly this QB situation, when I post here. To each their own though.

lol considering you're talking about my posts I dare you to find one post of mine where I'm bashing Brock or not sticking up for him when he gets unjust BS. Hell I was in here defending Jimmy for the most part.

That's why I take issue with stuff like this. I want every QB on this team to have the same level of narrative, context and whether else you want. At minimum until they prove whether they deserve it or not.

And that s**t was from months ago lol. You know when he was coming back from having his ankle broken in half. Guess they only like to use the term "rust" for Brock. No bias and totally objectivity…b******t.

I wasn't talking about just you, though you are in that group. I'll address you directly if I have a bone to pick or an argument to make. I actually am not interested in calling people out in that fashion. I also don't think you're as good an example of what I'm talking about either on this board, or definitely a place like Twitter.

You're absolutely dreaming if you think there's going to be equal coverage, slack, or credit, given to players who have different standing. You'd do yourself a huge favor, in my opinion, if you stop being concerned with narratives and agendas you think exist and be a little more open to opinions that differentiate from your own. One is the direct cause of the other. Again, just my opinion. This s**t isn't personal. I appreciate your passion regardless, lol.

When you have a collection of media member's who all go to the same practice and say different s**t…that's a problem. These players aren't being covered objectively. Just not. For for the most part the people that made excuses for Jimmy are the same ones that are/will be doing the same for Brock. It's pretty clear.

my god the convos in here for years about Jimmy not being able to throw the ball downfield we're ridiculous. Blaming the WRs, scheme and kyle. No way it could be Jimmy. Guess what, same s**t is happening in LV. That's not a tool he has in his tool belt but they couldn't accept it.

I could careless whomever starts, so long as they become that top tier QB that's doesn't need everyone around him to be a pro-bowler because at some point that QB will get paid and we can't have all that extra talent. I'm not rooting for anyone to fail. I also don't want to end up with the same thing we tried moving off of.
