if I was him, and I didn't get to start this year, I'm asking to be traded. Hoping the guy infront of you gets injured so you can play isn't a great plan.

no need to rush a trade.. I mean if he's not starting here.. is he beating out Darnold? If he isn't, what other team is trading for him? To start, and hand the job? He would have to earn it there, just like he has to earn it here.

This is the best environment for a QB to be in, that's why Sam came here, trust me, you don't want to be on about half these teams, the clown teams. He has a path to the open market it's called free agency.

I'm talking about after this season and assuming he is QB2 all year.

the big benefit that Trey has in his favor is age. He came into the league young. So him sitting 3 years really isn't a big deal overall career wise. Same for darnold. He's only 25. So he could turn it around after this season of getting coaches up and have a nice 10 year run somewhere

i know this is a wonderful place for players in general, especially QBs, but I think it will get to a point where he doesn't want to sit anymore and may request a trade. I'll be shocked if we use the fifth year option. I only see that getting executed if he's traded and team likes him. Otherwise, it would be a massive waste of cap space for us (assuming he's QB2)

gotcha, yeah, it's a million ways this whole thing can play out at the QB spot imo
hard to say what will happen in 2024, or who the guy is, at that point in time, maybe once we get more clarity on that front
heck I don't know what's gonna happen in 2023, or who is starting week 1 yet

Love talked about this, he couldn't control the status of Rodgers, he just had to do his job, get himself ready, prepare as if he's the QB1, he had to do that for years, and bide his time more or less, eventually it will pay off.. go and do likewise Trey

Well with the way our qb situations have played out in the past, we may not even have the guy on the team who finishes the season for us. Hahaha

itll be interesting is Brock and Lance split first team reps early in camp whike Brock is still recovering. Would be great to see how they both are doing. It would be an awesome measurement of Lance too.

lol I feel like love isn't going to do great. We will see. I hope he does but it's so difficult to replace Rodgers. Especially since Rodgers made everyone forget about Farve so quickly. Tall task. Lots of pressure

Having Brock back for camp would be the best thing! Get all 3 guys healthy and let's see who brings their best.

It's best for the team, best for the fans and best for the players.

Play music just a heads up. If you've been paying attention, it is three months of light throwing he just had his first throwing session so add three months on to that that's deep into preseason games.

Probably not best for Brock. He's expected to be throwing for three months by himself so if you cut that short, if you rush them onto the field, it could be the biggest mistake we make. The best case scenario for us is that we take our time with him and probably start in week three or four if tray is not winning. And I say that because when you invest that much in a player to give them an actual shot which starting one and a half games last season doesn't really count as a shot, you give them a chance while being healthy and if he's winning great if he's not, Rock can come in and play lights out.. but it's not like our team to take somebody out that's winning. Especially when we always start slowing on offense in the beginning of the season.

Why is there a damn report on a report by a guy from NFL network talking about Lance taking "first team reps" in OTAs and what he says gives absolutely no more or less information then has already been given. This is truly paralysis by analysis

One. So they'll do what you just did and talk about it. Lol the second part is to just create
more debate amongst fans between Brock and Lance.

in other words, the "journalist" is a joke.

Totally disagree. If you played to the level as the last pick in the draft in college for multiple years….Then all of a sudden play damn good ball for 7 games AND part of the reason for that is TD% and TD/INT ratio (which are extremely volatile stats). Yeah it's reasonable to assume regression. Toss in some questionable film that no one wants to touch on because they want him to be great so bad…look I hope he balls out forever and there is no drop off. To assume there will be none is in fact silly. Especially with no off season and a massive injury to his throwing arm.

Add whatever with woo.

He is already great. Why be mad because someone thinks he is great?

Cause it's not "his guy".
Cause sample too small to make definitive statements like he is great. He played great - we don't know yet if he is great that is only learned over time and with Lombardi trophies.

This pass is a little behind Kittle as well.
