Observing trends and dissecting specifics are almost exact opposites. Every injury can be unique while also creating an observable pattern. I'm not blaming anything for our high injury rate…. Simply suggesting there may be something(s), beyond chance, to blame our high injury rate on.
Before you ask me what I'd blame our injuries on, reread my post slowly… you'll see there's really nothing debatable about what I've written. ????????
Sure it's possible. Thing is until you have something specific you can point to backed up by specific evidence it's hard to make those arguments stick. NCommand has been trying to make similar arguments for years but never brings any actual evidence to the table other than the sum total of injuries.
Correlation doesn't equal causation.
Im not making an argument. I'm pointing out the error in using "all injuries are unique therefore we can't assume the 49er methodology could be causing them" argument. There is a point that we absolutely assume the teams high injury rate could be due to something beyond circumstance. I'm not saying that point is now.
I'm a casual observer of the game… requiring me to cite "specific evidence" is rofl. A quick google search revealed (completely internet subjectively) the niners were the 4th, 2nd, 1st, and 10th most injured team over the last few years. Suggesting there may be a reason is less crazy than suggesting it's "just football".
f**k here's hoping it's not just bad luck. I'd prefer it to be something we can correct
