Lol you can tell who is really relishing this

Hoov, All and NY back in the (it's no big deal) camp per usual too.

Don't worry, be happy!

TBF, nobody should be relishing in terrible news.

Lol Oh you for sure are. In some weird way in your mind I think this makes you feel like you were right about something …and gives opportunity to do what you do best and s**t on the FO and OL 🤣

I'm always right about the OL. That doesn't mean I want to be. It means we fall short again. I want 6! Not to be "right" about the regimes biggest blind spot.
2 NFCCG, 1 SBA, 4-1 in the playoffs with the biggest blindspot lol got it

And that blind spot cost us both times. Contrary to popular belief, it actually wasn't "good enough."

Is it good enough this year? To you?
it did not cost us actually.. and the last game we didn't give up one sack.. unlike your beloved Rams OL

This year is another story.. i'm confident in Banks and Moore.. Brun plays better with someone playing well next to him. Center and RT are the only ?'s
Pass pro has certainly been a major weakness for years and Jimmy G's quick release covered up for a lot of it. Now we are in worse shape. People are in denial trying to rationalize that we are going to be ok with this drop off, I am not. Even if Tretter is injured, he still plays thru it at a high level. Kyle has always had a veteran C and if Trey is playing behind Brendel or Brunskill we can expect another loss in the playoffs vs a possible SB victory. Plain and simple

There's a bright spot.

Did Mack hurt the 49ers in any way by announcing this so late as opposed to in March? New QB gets a new LG and new C. Great.

It wasn't a mystery that he might retire. That's on the FO

I'm hoping they knew and hoping they are right about Brendel and West. That's a lot of hope. Would prefer more of a sure thing.
Good Luck with your retirement Mack! Enjoy the rest of your years!

Jimmy was only 10th in time to throw, so how much did his release really shield the o-line? His pressure percentage was 5th lowest.

In the NFC championship game, Jimmy's time to throw was 3.14 seconds which would have been the worst in the league over the course of a full season for any QB with over 100 snaps.

I'm not sure exactly when they knew, but they definitely knew before now, and probably before the draft given the interview Lynch gave.

Kyle and his disciples have always preached the importance of Center, and I highly doubt they're happy with the current options. There's a reason we went out and paid Richburg, and brought Mack in.
Cut Jimmy and sign JC Tretter.

How good is JC compared to Mack.

I'd prefer to see Brunskill at RT, with Brendel/West at center. Hopefully Banks and Moore Give us something to smile about too.

JC has been better than Mack the last couple years IMO. At least in pass protection

Start West at center.

Might as well. Brendel and Brunskill are most likely 1 year rentals. West you could have extra cheap for a while.

I was pounding the table for Quinn Meinerz a couple seasons ago. :/ oh well.

Denver drafted another center this year and have Cushenberry already ahead of Meinerz.
That is because they are proactive... our team is one of the most reactive teams in the nfl

To me, it was pretty selfish to take all this time till now to retire. BUT if the FO knew this the whole time that's on them. maybe they're happy going into the season with rookie C and new LG.

they knew it or at least suspected it greatly. but here we are. no reason at all for it. despite what some say..... this team has had piss poor pass protection going back to 2011, no matter the qb or coach.... it just stuns me year after year

Broncos haven't made the playoffs since 2015. Maybe they should react more.

yup..he rather have the team lose and be right and be happy.. than cheer for his team and be wrong

ok.... nc has been concerned about this o line for years like i have been. i expect more out of vet posters like you people... most of us know nc only wants what is good for the team and he is always hoping he is wrong about some area he is concerned about. he is not a poster who is happy when he is right when it is for the detriment of the team. come on
