Yes, Kyle doesn't trust rookies so even a 1st rounder would probably struggle to get on the field. This should have been addressed last year.

I'm not sure if we had a crack at Lindsey, but signing him and cutting Jimmy would have been the way I went.

Probably bc he wasn't a top Center and he's a rookie in Kyles system

The only real loss has been Mack veteran experience at the position. There are tons of Centers with potential on the roster but no experience. Tretter would make sense on a one year deal after Jimmy and Dee are gone. Even with bummed knees he has been an elite center and with lots of experience, which the young QB needs.
Laken Tomlinson is not a big loss, he was good because of playing next to Staley and Trent Williams, no wonder he played his best football since Trent arrived.

Here are the questions to ask to determine what kind of freak out there will be:

1. Did we acquire a big name in FA or Trade with no recent injury history? Everyone freaks out about the contract numbers or the draft picks given up.
2. Did we acquire a player that recently had a serious injury? Everyone freaks out about the FO picking up another injury prone player.
3. Did we draft a player with a high draft pick (1st or 2nd round)?
--- a. Did the draft experts on Twitter praise the pick? Everyone waits until the first OTA to freak out.
--- b. Did the draft experts on Twitter not praise the pick? Everyone freaks out that the FO reached for a player.
4. The FO addresses things in any other way? Everyone freaks out that the FO isn't doing enough.

I heard he wants a lot of guaranteed money. Also, I did not know that he still has lingering injuries from last year even though he played every game through the injuries which might be a concern of ours after the Richburg fiasco.

I still hope we sign him because we don't want to throw Trey in there with a back up center playing as a starter. After all, we want to win a Super Bowl so we have to be more proactive bc we obviously weren't in FA or the draft.

I can't even think who our back up is. Really hope we can get Tretter. This is actually alarming both of the two players that touch the ball every snap and command the offense are inexperienced
