Ok, I had read he signed a 3 year extension in 2019 and also read he had a void year, so thought it made it a contract year. Maybe he's tired of being on the Cowboys of the AFC.

That and the Raiders got rid of their entire OL, I can't imagine he'd be too happy about that...saw Linsley get top $ for a C.

This COVID cap affected year certainly proved that with teams WAY over the cap being real players in FA. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Only certain teams. The Rams, Bears, Eagles, Steelers, Vikings, Seahawks, and others have been virtually silent.

The Hawks need OL help on a bad way and weren't in on any of the prospects, lost their CB1 and replaced him with Spoon.

Right but given the large number of teams coming in already in red and even with a drastic drop in cap space, most were still players for sure. Really, only one or two teams took more than the standard couple losses every team loses every year in a normal year. In fact, the cap gymnastics was fantastic to watch!

Any more plans for FA? K'Won? Any other WRs we can get at a reasonable price that fit our needs?

We need an outside corner Hayward or butler
we need a slot cb 3-4 good ones left including Williams
maybe an edge, RG or wr3

You guys think if we can get Trai Turner, Kerrigan and K Waun to sign and that would complete our team heading into the draft?

Those are who I'd like except maybe Hayward at outside cb. Kwaun is awesome but I'm assuming Verrett isn't healthy the whole year and Hayward is a great cb. We can get a slot cb for pretty cheap

Your girl is not wrong to dislike Tomlinson, he's average at best. He's good for now but should be replaced soon or next season.

The center from the Raiders would have been the better choice for a long term solution. This move was a done deal the moment Mack was told he wasn't coming back. Older, cheaper and a perfect scheme fit - that's our wheelhouse, or what Paraag is comfortable signing without much resistance. This isn't a negative take, we just know Paraag has a type of player he likes: mid-tier, older or a player with some injuries who can outplay his contract. I guess by definition that is #moneyball.

No hate, it's just that you have to limit the number of those players on a team.

And it's not a poor approach IF you still draft the youth that's just as talented to be trained by the Sherman's and Mack's and Sanders' of the world.

But let's say the you pay him $6M and use a 2nd/3rd rounder. That's getting up to $8-9M with two resources used and no guarantee that rookie ever reaches Mack production and talent.

Just pay the $12M and get a known all pro C for the next 5 years. I have this philosophy for the PRIME positions in this system LT, C, ER x2, etc

That's a good plan, I would have agreed, but for Alex Mack. He knows the system, no need to train him up in training camp. He knows Kyle. He knows the protections calls (ie more than just the system, he knows about the way Kyle thinks about the system). He's also going to coach the rest of the Olinemen while on the field. He's an older player, and so his cap hit isn't that big vs a young 25 year old in the prime of his career (who *doesn't* know Kyle's system and who doesn't know Kyle and how he play calls). And, for the price of a young top of the line 25 year old center, you can additionally draft a lower round raw, but talented center that has as much potential to be a first rounder but for the raw-ness in the third or lower rounds or later to sit behind Mack for a year as your long term solution.

So did Lindsey though and he's much younger. But I do like the Mack signing. I'm definitely not EVER down on adding talent to our weakness unit (in PP).
