Maybe, but Mullens has proven he can win in this league and Shanahan and Saleh have both shown that they can come up with schemes that will help the team when the starters are down. Lord knows they have had enough practice. While I agree that the losses could add up by the end of the year I completely reject the concept of tanking as anything other than a fan based fantasy for people who are hung up on draft position. Lynch has gone on record time and time again stressing the fact that they have built the locker room to be competitive yet supportive. I don't see how he could go into that culture and say, "Oh, remember all that stuff I said earlier, just forget about, we've decided were going to embrace losing for the rest of the year." These players are professionals, they get paid to compete, if not for this team than for the next, to suggest that they do otherwise simply to satisfy the fans' desire for a higher pick is why I agree with LottMontana that these kinds of threads are for losers.

Name calling will get you nowhere. You're the one who threw up the wording - blame yourself. Maybe some of us don't like to think of "tanking" talk, especially halfway through the season while at 4-4. Yes, we know it's a very longshot now to even make the playoffs with Mullens and all the injuries. No need to add insult to injury with a "tanking" crap thread.
