He needs to go somewhere for less money where he can be a #2/3 at the worst so he gets his targets and can get his multi year deal next off-season

Raiders have already signed a bunch of FAs so if hes still looking for more money, I don't think it'll be them.

Guessing his market value is south of the $20M he wanted? LOL
me thinks he signs for $12M yearly average, nice if he signs with us but then he wouldn't be able to save face so not going to happen

Lombardi was just making the point we might miss out on a comp pick if he doesn't sign soon. I guess there's a deadline for that

Correct, I think it's around May 12th, besides if he signs before his signing will be canceled out by the Mike Evans signing, and the other losses aren't gonna be high enough to get us a comp pick IMO, the other guys we lost won't be higher than what other teams' players lost.

I know JJ saw all the cash being doled out to Aiyuk and others in 2024 but he was a 7th rounder not particularly fast and his biggest assets are his heart and toughness among other things. JJ is obviously talented and is a great football player but here he was supposed to be number three but somehow he felt he could hit the free market and become Mike Evans and get paid accordingly
It was a gross miscalculation on his part. Now we've moved on and he's on the outside looking in. SMH

Can't blame the guy; it was his best shot at his best contract
Still may get a decent contract after the draft when teams miss on WRs they may have wanted.

Yea I'm not blaming him but his agent should have been able to read the room better than this

He'll get picked up for around $10 to #12 million after the draft. It won't be with the Niners as they got Evans and Kirk. Jennings has heart but we upgraded from him I believe in Evans and Kirk for the money they offered a year ago to him.

Can't blame him for trying to cash in, but he must have predetermined that his days as a 9er were over and he was going to move on, no matter how his FA contract played out. Not sure he will get featured the same way that Shanny schemed him open. I like the dude, hope he makes bank and has a great season.

I think the Colts could be a realistic spot, if he doesn't get his huge pay day. They don't have Pittman JR. (similar body build as Jauan) anymore. Even though they just drafted a WR, I think JJ with that team.. with him being a great run blocker for one of the best running backs in the league... well it could all be a great fit (for a one to two year deal, before the draft pick is legit ready to take over).
