If he is truly injured, then I hope he gets better soon. If he's playing hardball time to tell him he's headed to IR with Aiyuk and comeback at the same time. I'm sure he'll get get healthy quick if he wants those incentive bonuses.

They pretty recently adjusted his contract up. So the team doesn't want to do it again so soon. His best bet would be to come in and play super hard, stay healthy and have a big year. If so he can get a 3 year $45 million contract in free agency. Maybe Tennessee where he would be happy. $15 million a year. If he has another quality year I think he can get that. He just won't get it here.

Sounds like there's still no resolution in the 49ers/Jauan Jennings situation. I don't think either side has ruled out anything. I don't think either side is happy.

Deadlines make deals/decisions/whatever.

Love the guy , but they just gave him that deal last year. And this now on the heals of Deebo then ayiuk sets a bad precedent

Agreed I understand both sides on this one. But JJ did just do his deal. He needs to show up at this point

I am so confused as many are about what is really going on here.
Not even sure if his injury is real or an excuse.
either JJ is overestimating his value or the Niners are underestimating it.

If he misses week 1, then I would assume the injury is legitimate. He has too much to lose to miss games if he's not injured.

I would be absolutely shocked if he's legitimately injured enough to not practice in over a month

Honestly, Jennings is the 2nd best WR on the team behind Pearsall. I say they give him a little bit of a raise and not overpay. If not trade him if something can't be done.

I would guess 49ers came at him with a raise, but not the raise he wanted. It sucks but we can't just keep paying people

He's the 3rd or 4th or 5th best WR on the team. Until he proves otherwise Aiyuk is on the team and he's the best WR on the team. Robinson is healthy and he could be better than JJ. Watkins is certainly faster so it's possible he's a better WR.
I would put JJ 3rd with Robinson right behind him ... but Watkins could be great when given a chance.
