Yea maybe they feel one more year. And he will have improved. Then get a strong gaurs in FA. To pair

open up options for 1st round draft. Most likely pass rush

All I know is this better be insurance. McKivitz isn't awful, he's just not good enough.

49ers still need to make OL a priority this offseason but better add on top of not good enough vs on top of nothing/awful.

I mean it's backup money, sort of. He's not the worst OT in the league or anything…just didn't think he deserved an extension/more GTD cash

I'm guessing it lowers his cap hit this yr (which wasn't high anyway).
