Cause we're in win now mode. Sitting one of our best will help none.

Yah I agree with this too. If the 9ers could turn around and trade for a receiver close to Aiyuk's caliber it should help. Not sure who's out there though.

I stand by what I said a week and a half ago: if we trade Aiyuk for just draft picks (none of which are a 1st) I am 110% done with Lynch.

That is easily two more d lineman

"FANS" in here like if it's not TJ Watt and a 1st I'm done...

Did you see what the Browns offered us?

The Steelers' rumored package is not even in the same galaxy. The Browns basically had the same package with a top 15 WR attached to it.

I'm not expecting Watt—never said I was—but I'm expecting at least something comparable to the Browns' package. Anything less and we have every right to be critical of Lynch.

Browns deal means nothing to us. Aiyuk has us in a no win situation.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the 49ers are nearing a trade with the Steelers.

In a wild turn of events, Aiyuk may be headed to Pittsburgh after all. The 49ers and Steelers have agreed to a deal and the latter is in a good place on a contract with Aiyuk. Rapoport also says that the 49ers have made another offer to Aiyuk, but he has yet to accept. If San Fransisco signs off, then Aiyuk will finally be a Pittsburgh Steeler, stay tuned.

Trading him for draft picks would put us in the same position.

Correct
I don't care if we trade him I just don't want to get bent over on any trade by the smug Steelers franchise.

They've basically been mucking up this situation all offseason.

I get it, no good to have a disgruntled guy in the locker room, but i also agree with others on the return value. Losing him really dents our SB odds this season.
Bye
We're gonna end up with slayton just watch

That would be awful for a win now team

I get both arguments. IMO no player coming in will be as productive as Aiyuk (especially if a wr) so losing him hurts not matter what. If I'm the Niners I would want a 1stround pick minimum. You want that value one way or another.

What is his affection with the Steelers again? He knows someone?

He wants to catch passes from real QBs like Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.

If we do trade to the Steelers it better not be that crappy deal that was reported.

They should ONLY accept a trade that makes them better. If not, Aiyuk hosed them. They have no reason to bow or appease him. And even if they got Freiermuth, Pickens, and a second round pick...I still say they're not better than they are with Aiyuk.

I will say that regardless of how this shakes out...it has completely changed my perception of Aiyuk. He's a punk.

The way he acted in the days after the SB loss I knew it was a red flag. Many players (especially the young guys who don't realize there is an end) don't care about the SB, they only want the money.

I honestly think looking back he showed his self centered side after I think after I think his first 1000 yard season. He made that look at me post on social media with a sarcastic comment about how he did that being the third or fourth option on the team. There's a ton of guys who would have not even mentioned it, or credited God, coaches, teammates, hard work, etc. Looking back, it just seems like a "look at me look at me" kind of self hype attitude.

And don't get me completely wrong. BA has played hard and played well since then. But if he wants to go to an organization that has been running in place since the hey day of Big Ben, not really getting any worse but definitely not getting any better and probably the weakest team in their division with a cooked quarterback and another the Bears gave up on then he can be Tomlin's Antonio Brown 2.0 right down to the drama and self centered attitude. He isn't remotely that bad yet but it took the other AB time to get that bad as well.

These 2 will definitely help bring out the petulant BA we saw during the Jimmy years. Should make for great entertainment.
More like BYEyuk

Get ready to be disappointed in the return in 3,2,1….
Call the Raiders.

Offer them everything the Steelers give us plus another pick for Adams.

That's the only way I will be happy about this, assuming no extension.
