I hope cooler head's will prevail, but he might be making a huge mistake. If he does, it was his mistake to make.

At the end of the day, that will be the final scene...but it may not be played out for a season, or maybe two.

Josina just said the pats had the highest offer at over $28.5m.

Previous reports say Niners offered around $26m.

If both of these things are true - they will figure it out.

Probably more of a guaranteed money discrepancy than a per year rate. I'm guessing a player can go shoot a Subway commercial and get that 1.5 mil difference right fast.

Honestly, was watching Get Up this morning and Tannenbaum brought up an interesting option:

Up Aiyuk's base from 14M to 20-21M for 1yr, and guarantee not to franchise in 2025

This gets Aiyuk his money, saves face for everyone, and gives him the opportunity to play for whoever he wants in 2025. At this point I'd rather have him for this big push for SB return and allows us to have money ready to pay Purdy in 2025.

Chat Sports suggested that too, and it's the dumbest idea ever. There is literally no point in doing that. Aiyuk is UNDER CONTRACT. He can choose to honor it, or sit out and lose money. This idea would be like buying a new car...paying $30,000 over asking price...and promising to never use the warranty.

Nah, overpay for a one year rental that is probably going to come out flat due to missing camp

That's basically what we'd get from Cleveland with Cooper, and I know Aiyuk is willing to block and knows offense, can we say the same for Cooper?
The very least we would get someone who is ready/motivated and not in their feels
Will he be the main weapon though?

Do we really know that he's not a product of the talent around him and may be mediocre without it.

I know alot of Steeler fans that thought they'd be fine without Antonio Brown because they had Juju turns out he wasn't that guy.
Unconfirmed, but being discussed now on KNBR. What could Pit offer us that we would want?

lol this

Watt, Minkah, Fautanu or Porter Jr. -- I do not want anyone else on that roster

Right. So Aiyuk makes more money. The Niners get NOTHING when he leaves. And they gain nothing new for 2024 since he is already under contract.

Looks like we'll see if Scully is right about Filiponi.

Last I heard was 2 2nds, Daniels and Austin

I would take Watt but they would want our 2025 first with Aiyuk and there's no way that a blue collar place like Pit trades their prime player.

Not really nothing, it helps make the future signings easier
