According to a Mike Silver article in the Chronicle this morning, Aiyuk has ticked off Shanahan in a way Samuel did not.

"...according to multiple sources, the head coach is bothered by Aiyuk's behavior, from the receiver's conspicuous "bro hugs" to his perceived brooding, and willing to move on."
Silver doesn't have insider info, be cautious of his stuff

How do you know that?

Whether or not he does, BA's behavior matches Silver's piece.

FWIW, when I saw his first comment after the Super Bowl about his contract, I thought, "He is willing to leave over money alone."

I'd be good with it, it's still lower than expected. IMO

Please don't just trade him to trade him for a 2nd and s**t, they have control on him for 3 years if they want. Don't settle because this fool wants to b**ch and moan his way outta here to f**king Pittsburgh.

Unfortunately, I think this is where we end up. Preparing for the worst.

BA obviously wants a lot more than 28, or we wouldn't be where we are right now
I understand people are asking "how does a 1st next year help us!" but why couldn't we go trade a pick with another team who has a wr that CAN help us? If we now have 2 firsts, we could go trade something (not necessarily a 1st) for a wr if we needed to.

I'd rather keep aiyuk but if this is how it has to be then no use crying about it. Remember, in 2021 aiyuk was close to being a career backup/flame out for the first half of the season and Kyle lit a fire under him. Hopefully Kyle develops a new wr in that manner

Can Aiyuk come back and play with the 49ers and be happy? I don't see how. Anyway if he leaves the 49ers aren't going to fall apart. People were upset when Buckner left and the team went on to another SB. Fans want the team to keep every good player but in this era of overpaid athletes and salary caps it's really hard. This isn't like it was in the 80s. They're projected to be quite a bit over the cap next year so that means there will be a lot of cuts and restructuring.

True but this seems a little different. If it was just about money a deal might have been done by now. NE was apparently offering him what he wanted but he didn't want to play there. He wants to be paid and go to a good team. He feels like the 49ers aren't giving him the respect he deserves. He wants to be the highest paid but he's not the best receiver. He's had really poor showings in playoff games when coverage gets tighter. Wait until he leaves and goes to the Steelers or Browns. He won't have the luxury of Kyle scheming him open while Deebo and CMC draw coverage.

Same here, I'm prepping to get real pissed

I am asking because it feels like a break up that nobody wants. I was wondering then if a slight bump up would be enough to allow him to save face and stay.

He probably wants more than JJ
Colts might be a dark horse in the race

The moment Slick Rock catches a nice pass or scores a tuddy we will all be at peace with this trade. I think the known of Aiyuk and the unknown of Pearsall is what is making people uneasy the most.

I don't care, if he signs to what ever cool, if he's gone cool
