i dunno, Judon might be hard to sign as well. Cle for Cooper and a 2nd would be better in my opinion.

A 3rd rounder from the Pats would be abut the same as a 2nd from the Browns who will probably have a much better season. Still I agree that I would prefer Cooper and a 2nd. Cooper is 32 but he's always been a good receiver and a good team mate. I confess that I don't know much about Judon.

Cooper is 30.

This. I guess this all depends on if we (the Niners) think Slick Rick is ready to platoon with another or go in on his own across from Deebo. My guess is that if this goes down, do not be surprised if the Niners restructure/extend Deebo.

Go get cooper and picks!
Judon? Dude is a baller. If they getting Judon and Bourne I'd be excited. but Judon is a top dollar pass rusher and won't be easy to re sign. I'm not up on his contract details.
I saw that judon and Bourne arnt practice today. I wonder if their package is Judon/bourne/2nd.

and I wonder if we do get Judon, if we would extend him.

I looked him up and he had a couple really good years. Looks like he got injured and missed most of last season. The problem is he's looking for a long term deal next year and we would be looking at another contract issue. The 49ers have a lot of pass rushers already.

Judon hasn't been practicing anyway, because of his contract demands.

Judon is a top notch player though. We could def use him. Idk how his contract situation would be but he would def improve our defense.
i'm sick of this drama. it hurts the SB dream.
26 mil was a fair offer back in March. After other deals, 28 mil is fair like ASB, You have the fluff to make the APY 30.
He's not getting 30. He wants more so he asked for a trade. This is calling his bluff and to show that he can't go to a spot he wants. He won't want either of these.
49ers need to up their offer or let him play on his last year.
I don't like the trades i'm hearing.
Copper is ok but a downgrade. bourne is worse than jennnings. I'd need a 1st to get decent talent next year. For NE, if they would give up some of their picks this year that could help us on cheap contracts, i'd listen. I'd want Caden Wallace and Javon Baker.. Not going to happen so let's keep Aiyuk.
A front 7 with Judon, Bosa, Hargrave, Floyd, and Fred should wreck havoc. with that said our wr corp will take a major step back. Man this sucks all around but they gotta find a solution they can live with at this point.

Yeah, I wonder if the niners are prepared to offer him an immediate extension or expecting him to play it out.

yeah...I totally second that....one could argue he was the heart and soul of that Pat's defense.

He was hurt last year (bicep thank goodness not his knees)... but he was averaging a sack a game over the last 22 games or something like that.

Big strong guy 270, double digit tackle for loss guy, double digit sack guy.....

We could do alot worse than him that is for sure...would easily be the best defensive line in the Bosa era.

Sorry. I hit the wrong key.

I see an article at the top of the page saying 49ers SB window is closed. Who the hell is Joe Fortenbaugh? These guys pop up and profess to have inside knowledge they probably got off the internet.

He's some nobody from ESPN, that alone says it all. ESPN has been the most trash and racist "network" for years. They probably think our Super Bowl window is closed because we have too many white players!

Welp nevermind on this. no way can they take on more guys that have contract issues. Like the Jets and Reddick. why trade for a guy who has told you he wants more money and the team isn't willing to give it to him
My guess is that this is the last step before they cease negotiations and force him to play on the fifth year option. I don't think Aiyuk would want to go to Cleveland (fringe playoff team, crappy city) or New England (crappy team, good city - Boston).

You can never have enough good pass rushers, you keep everyone fresh. With Judon, an improved secondary and not an idiot calling the defense this d will be a serious problem like it's used to being. Our offense just takes huge hit losing Aiyuk and bringing back crap Bourne. I rather they take a chance at one of their younger WRs than a guy with such a low floor coming off a knee injury
