Yeah, I'd like to know as well because I haven't seen anything that remotely resembles that. In fact, I've seen the opposite with Aiyuk's flippant attitude when asked about how a massive deal will negatively impact the salary cap and the quality of players around him.

"If you can't afford the Lamborghini, you can't have the Lamborghini."

I did read that quote....and that Lambo comment made me cringe a bit/

Ok "Bipolar Brandon", what's it going to be today? It's a new day, will it be a new mood swing??
Is BA even really doing anything to be bipolar?

don't let the media fool you

Just going by what he himself has said. "I want to be a champion!!!" Oh wait, "I just want to get paaaaid so I feel respected!"

I have news for Aiyuk. Champions are respected way more than the guy with the biggest contract.

Jeremy Fowler Reported that he wanted "a little more" than ASB. That could be in GTD or APY. APY is fluff. Sounds like SF wouldn't even negotiate, no fluff lol

From your link, I see where Fowler claimed what BA wants (St. Brown/$30+ year) but nowhere in regards to what SF offered. There would have to be a lot of funny money involved because that's too far out there IMO.

This is looking like a total failure all around. The FO and BA have failed this is why you get ahead of young good talent contracts. Once injury hits Deebo and Kittle there is going to be a major talent drop off that we put on the field without BA

How is this the FO's fault?

They should have traded him when his worth was the highest. When teams had picks to give that could help this yr and when teams had cash to spend on players…plus it would have freed up cash to spend this yr.

They haven't even spoken to BA in months regarding his contract. It sounds like this is the offer and that's it. Overall BA doesn't want to leave, but SF is treated it like they don't give a s**t about him. Take it or leave it. I wouldn't call that negotiations. Would you?

But that is a subjective take that assumes you will always get greater value earlier. The key thing here is need. Need always demands worth, my man. While I agree, the Niners brass may have had more suitors earlier that doesn't mean they won't have suitors now or that they will not get the asking price they demand. Remember, the ball is in their court. For that matter, it is in Aiyuk's court as well. Does he really want the extra scratch or can he get over the fact that he will be paid handsomely, just not as much as a handful of others. Can he live with that? I am unsure. I could. I want to win. But s**t, I don't blame him if he is trying to maximize his value. Back to the niners, if they flub this and do not get a good return, I would agree with your sentiments that they would have been better suited to try earlier.
Could be a genius move by the FO to force BA to either sign the contract, play out his contract or get shipped to a non contender like the Pats who dont have a franchise QB.

Whats more important, to be a top paid WR for a couple weeks until the next WR up gets paid more than you or sign the contract offered or play out your original contract.

This is most likely correct.

A lambo is a free agent for anyone to acquire. BA is not.
KNBR reporting that Bourne and Judon at Pats practice but now not actually practicing due to trade reports. They think it could be those 2 players plus a 3rd rounder for BA.

i dunno, Judon might be hard to sign as well. Cle for Cooper and a 2nd would be better in my opinion.

They then reported judon was back out there

A 3rd rounder from the Pats would be abut the same as a 2nd from the Browns who will probably have a much better season. Still I agree that I would prefer Cooper and a 2nd. Cooper is 32 but he's always been a good receiver and a good team mate. I confess that I don't know much about Judon.

I watch a lot of Pats games. Judon is an excellent player. High motor guy.

Sorry. I hit the wrong key.

I see an article at the top of the page saying 49ers SB window is closed. Who the hell is Joe Fortenbaugh? These guys pop up and profess to have inside knowledge they probably got off the internet.
