Was this factually documented somewhere? I haven't read anything as to what he wants/franchise is offering, but admittedly, I haven't followed it much either.

This is looking like a total failure all around. The FO and BA have failed this is why you get ahead of young good talent contracts. Once injury hits Deebo and Kittle there is going to be a major talent drop off that we put on the field without BA

How is this the FO's fault?

They should have traded him when his worth was the highest. When teams had picks to give that could help this yr and when teams had cash to spend on players…plus it would have freed up cash to spend this yr.

They haven't even spoken to BA in months regarding his contract. It sounds like this is the offer and that's it. Overall BA doesn't want to leave, but SF is treated it like they don't give a s**t about him. Take it or leave it. I wouldn't call that negotiations. Would you?

Yeah, I'd like to know as well because I haven't seen anything that remotely resembles that. In fact, I've seen the opposite with Aiyuk's flippant attitude when asked about how a massive deal will negatively impact the salary cap and the quality of players around him.

"If you can't afford the Lamborghini, you can't have the Lamborghini."
we don't really know anything, it's all speculation.
Hold tight Lynch! Injuries happen and if we can do something closer to the trade deadline we should get more.
and he's not a Lamborghini

Jeremy Fowler Reported that he wanted "a little more" than ASB. That could be in GTD or APY. APY is fluff. Sounds like SF wouldn't even negotiate, no fluff lol

FO have been pretty fair with our big contracts so far, have to think this is more down to BA if they can't find an agreement.
If we could get Amari Cooper & draft picks would soften the loss in the short term.

Cooper is still a top tier WR and draft picks can be packaged to move up.

Jeremy Fowler in that report said Amon Ra St. Brown is the benchmark and that his goal is to beat that, not that he wants the same deal as ASB. Also, that report is 2 months old. Things have changed since then.

"If you can't afford the Lamborghini, you can't have the Lamborghini" is all that needed to be said to describe what BA wants.

Ok "Bipolar Brandon", what's it going to be today? It's a new day, will it be a new mood swing??

Is BA even really doing anything to be bipolar?

don't let the media fool you

Lots of blame to go around on both sides here. Hope it works out.

If I'm 49ers I don't trade Aiyuk pre draft unless it's a top 10 first round pick or an equivalent player draft package because I need to immediately replace that talent. That package never materialized and 49ers held leverage

Same case here where we STILL need equivalent players or draft picks to forego Aiyuk in a $14M contract with ability to tag him at years end because I'm trying to win this year and in the future

I would not give into Aiyuk when I'm holding the leverage
