this is what the NFL looks like.....you can not keep everyone you want to keep, unless they REALLY want to be here.....

The team is going to break up, it is just a matter of what they can keep.... the 49ers need BA no doubt, but he is not worth top 5 WR money maybe not fringe top 10.

100% agree, somewhere between Devonta Smith and Jalen Waddle is where he should be. Period. If he thinks he's JJ or Hill or Chase, he's delusional.

Yep!!! he is not worth a Chase contract that's for sure. Dude should just sign the contract already and stop with this b******t, are the 9ers really offering that much less. Anyway the ball is in Aiyuk's court, the 9ers tried, they agreed to a trade with team so if he wants out then say yes to a trade and stop being a b***h.

The thought of getting something like Bourne and a 2nd makes me sick. I'd literally rather just have Aiyuk all year on the sideline. Lol

bourne is coming off an ACL tear and probably wouldn't even make this team in a normal situation.

The amount of stupid things this team does and still somehow still wins games is crazy. You know this is f**king Kyle and his love for Bourne. His "UDFA" that he turned into a workable NFL WR.

this organization has a problem with allowing the coaching staff top to bottom have too much say in roster building.

losing BA is a net negative in August no matter what happens. It's the worst time to move an elite level player and get minimal value in return.

I mean a back end starting WR coming off a torn ACL and who knows 2nd rd pick? So they can just draft drake Jackson 2.0? Get the f**k out of here. For a proven young all-pro WR? I would have said kinda f**k off and come back with a real player.

at least with Cooper you get a legit WR that can help them win this year. He's a rental which doesn't help this team at all beyond this yr.

This team royally f**ked up the whole thing

It's just silver speculating,

Just keep him, let him play on his fifth year and then franchise tag him.

Aiyuk should just suck it up and sign the contract already.

I'm hoping we stick with the guaranteed $$, then add some incentives and irrelevant years that are voidable to just make the announcement of a deal sound good for BA.
His longevity, endorsements, and quality of life better here in the Bay Area for sure.
At this point it's hard to know what's going to happen. He says he wants to play for the Niners but he wants more money than they are offering. He wants a trade but only to a team that he likes. He says he's willing to sit out.

What he fails to realize is he doesn't have much leverage. If he sits out he ruins his chances of getting a good contract next year. Plus he loses the money for every game he misses. He can't dictate any trades. That's up to the 49ers. Someone is giving him bad advice. If the 49ers are offering $26-$27 million that would nearly double his current salary. That's not enough? This ego thing about being the highest paid guy is BS. Even if they gave him the biggest contract it would probably be surpassed by the next WR to sign.

The Niners keep making moves that basically reinforce the fact that they have all the leverage in this situation. You want the money and a trade, BA? We'll give you two unattractive options that you don't want. No trade to a guaranteed playoff team or to play with your boy Jayden. So sign the contract now for $27 million and don't leave $13 million on the table by playing on your 5th year guarantee. Niners playing hard ball.

If its a couple of million in difference, I think the 49ers will concede. But if it's in the JJ vontract kind of difference, 49ers are going to play hardball and dare him to hold out. Personally I think both sides are close and these are the final negotiation moves before both agree and sign, or both don't agree and move on to their respective next moves.
I would stick to the deal I've offered Aiyuk BUT I would attach incentives to where IF he matches the numbers of those he wishes to be paid as THEN he can get that money
Lots of blame to go around on both sides here. Hope it works out.

He wants ASB money. I think that's fair
