McCorkle blows always did. You want to talk about him, go to the Jags forum labeled backup QB.

I asked people in here to show me legit player trades that happen in August? Name some. I'm not talking about backup b******t players. Who's the last all-pro player to get moved in August for actual good players? Sounds like it still isn't gonna happen because Bourne surely doesn't fit the bill there. It doesn't ever happen.

yes I would prefer Baker, but rookies never get moved either. Unless you have examples of that happening?

The irony! Moving the player trade goalposts because God forbid you're about to get it wrong

They gambled in hopes to keep BA bc they really like him but as this plays out it might not be possible. Sounds like BA wants to be the highest paid WR in the history of the game. I don't blame them one bit for trying to resign him and holding on as long as possible hoping to get a deal done. Nor do i think they are clowns for doing so.

Titans didnt want to pay anyone and weren't competing so they let AJ Brown go. But you're right the 49ers are the opposite of that mess.

And lets not forget, we still got to pay Trent Williams.

If they like him and had no intentions of trading him (when they should have)…then pay him and move on. They reportedly haven't even had legit contracts conversations for months.

The titans f**ked it up and would have loved to pay Brown after the fact. Instead they invested in a 1st rd WR that's not on the same planet as AJ and they STILL paid a massive contract to a WR that isn't as good as Brown (Ridley).

This stinks like the Buck situation, only they actually got a legit pick in return (and f**ked up that pick) and guess what they ended up still having to pay a DT who's older and worse a ton of $$ in Hargrave

That's the problem with this team they don't learn from their mistakes.

keep burning picks at RB. Trading for pass rushers they have horrible knees (ford/young). Trading younger all-pros in favor of keeping the other player. Tossing spackle on the OL just to watch our QBs get destroyed etc etc.

If you paid attention I asked folks to show me some previous trades that involved legit good football players getting traded for legit good football players. Let alone in August. Go ahead show me please….acting like BA for Bourne constitutes as that is laughable. The deal is a high 2nd for BA…..and some backend WR coming off an ACL that can block.

you clearly follow me and what I say…just waiting to find a gotcha moment (still think you get off on that s**t, you do it with other people in here)….per usual you like to leave out those important parts of the conversation ☕️ 🐸

If it's about getting a serviceable player in return then the only deal i see here would be with the Browns, the Pats do not have any WR that is even close to BA. And if BA does not want to go there then no deal, which is where they are now.

Bourne is no where near Cooper

Any comparisons to the Chiefs is completely off the mark. They have a TRANSCENDENT QB who makes up for a lot--Brock is good, but he isn't him. This is where the Lance trade finally comes into play in terms of the SB window, and we are seeing it closing far more rapidly than it had to unfortunately. Folding and trading BA now will be another massive red mark in their ledger to go with Buckner/not scouting and picking Mahomes/Solomon Thomas/Rueben Foster/every wasted 3rd Round RB they ever drafted/ Trey Lance, etc. They have been incredibly lucky with later picks and their pro personnel people have been great with FA, but all the other screw ups are taking their toll. Hoping BA decides the grass isn't greener or that they get something surprisingly awesome in return for him and that they can still compete. Bourne won't do that this year (if he can even play), and a 2nd/3rd/4th or whatever they get almost undoubtedly won't replace Charvarious Ward/Demo/Kittle/Greenlaw/Hufanga/Trent in the next 1-2 years. This is one of my favorite incarnations of this team--really wanted them to keep growing, and hopefully I am wrong.

Agreed. I've debated why it's a loss getting an older WR on an expiring contract BUT if those are the two options it's not even close.

I'll bet money Kyle sees it as a player that knows the offense and it being in August he can just have him ready to go whenever his ACL is fine

Cooper is a legit XWR and at least we have someone comparable to BA for a yr. Either way it's a net loss for the future imo.
Basically what we already knew…sounding more and more like the Pats

I agree with that assessment. I would like to see a pick in the deal also no lower than a second round and a one if they could get it especially if they do the deal with the Pats for Bourne he just does not even move the needle for me.

What a sad state, multi millionaires holding out for more millions.

This.
So happy we called his bluff. Funny how he doesn't want to go to any of the teams willing to pay him what he wants and compensate us.
And when he comes running back, only offer him the original offer we did months ago since he lost all his negotiating power, or just make him play on his 14 million salary.

Okay let's say the Pats put Bourne on the market for trade by himself…what would people offer? A conditional 6th or 7th?

what the f**k are we doing?!

Cooper is better no doubt, but on the open market he went for a 5th/6th 3 years ago lol. You can't tell me his trade value improves after yrs of play.

Whatever with the 2nd rd pick s**t. We have no idea of what it's value is and SF will likely draft Drake Jackson 2.0 all over again.

dude, what a bunch pussies.

Did they not offer BA 26 million? So you would pay him to be the highest WR in the NFL even though he clearly is not in the top 5 or even top 10
