I can't believe how good of a route runner he has turned into. Plus how good his hands got. He catches everything. He kind of reminds me of Marvin Harrison. He's just always open and always catches everything. I never thought he would be this good. He's a true #1 WR. It's unbelievable. He is going to cost a bundle and I'm not sure we can afford to extend him. But enjoy him while he is here and maybe the franchise tag 1 additional year.

How do you pay this much to Deebo + Kittle + CMC + BA? Just run the math. It's going to be very expensive. We run up against the cap.

It's true. I like keeping BA if push comes to shove, on Deebo vs BA. Just my opinion. Deebo with his trucking everyone style might not age as well. This is down the road, for this season, let's dominate and see what happens. I do think KS is a bit of a WR factory. Developed Deebo, BA, JJ, Gray in the pipeline hopefully, Bell also, so as these guys mature and get expensive, trades may happen, like KC with Hill and they reloaded their D with those picks. Makes sense especially if you can keep developing young guys at that spot.

The cap is going up by $20M+ a year, BA's first 2 yr cap numbers will be low, like Bosa's are, by 2026 when BA's cap numbers go up the cap will be $300M, Purdy will also have a low-ish cap number for 2025 & 2026, by 2027 the cap should hit $320M, with enough cap room to keep the core together, Purdy, CMC, Juice(unless he retires), Deebo, BA, Kittle, Banks, Bosa, AA, Hargrave, Dre, Fred, Mooney, & Hufanga. We will lose players, likes of Mitchell, Lenoir, Jauan, Burks, McCloud, Ferrell, Odum, so it'll take good drafting to keep this sustainable. And I believe we will do just that.

Seems like the restructurings were done to roll over a bunch of cap to next year so they can keep Aiyuk.

Agreed, and to keep their core together long term, they want to make this sustainable for a long time. Really BA already makes enough to get his deal lowered in 2024, so I see the Bosa approach with him, really what they do with every player, low yr 1 & yr 2 cap hits, kinda low yr 3, then gigantic yr 4-Beyond cap numbers.
I think BA will go somewhere and try to establish himself as a true #1. I hope I'm wrong but I think he wants mega targets.

Lol why do you guys get so weird about extending Aiyuk? He's going to be extended and the Niners have all the cap and cash in the world to make it happen.

In fact, extending him actually IMPROVES his cap number. Y'all have lost your minds.

Not only that, but its easier for Aiyuk to dominate here than elsewhere. He is assured of just having to beat one guy week in and out because it would be suicide for a defense to double cover someone.

Great post, as to be honest I was surprised by all the money moving. I didn't believe it was for a trade, I think you're right and it's for Aiyuk which I am all for, someone else said he thinks BA will age much better than Deebo and I think that's also accurate. Got some smart people in here

Idk i think he loves playing here, and that we will clear space to offer him a deal
Underrated aspect of Aiyuk's game on Sunday - he always was ready for the ball to come his way. There was that one play last year where Purdy threw deep to him but he stopped his route, never expecting to get the pass on that play, likely because Jimmy G would never throw it to him on that route. The pass went incomplete, and was fortunate not to be an INT. Purdy chewed him out for it, and rightly so since he would have had a good chance for a long TD if he had ran his whole route and been in place for the pass. Gotta think having a QB willing to put his trust in you on any play increases your dedication to every route on every play.
