I fall just short of calling him a diva. He mostly kept stuff in house. He appeared to put wins higher than personal success, but also felt he gave the best chance for team success. And pushed teammates to be better rather than insult them.

TO is the epitome of diva. And the Eagles' seasons etched it in stone. Personal above team, team can not succeed without me.

To me a diva will rip teams apart. Their play elevates stats, but attitude makes teammates hate being around.

This. What exactly was Jerry doing to offend you two posters? Night and day compared to a TO, a real diva!

When we grade a players personality on a curve comparing to current players Jerry was pretty tame. He still has some dumbass takes on Twitter but as you said winning was always his top priority.

Someone doesn't have to be at a certain level to be considered a diva. Rice definitely had diva tendencies. And that's ok because he was THAT good.
Jerry was 100% a diva. He wasn't TO level but he was absolutely a diva.

I remember in TO's 20 catch game Jerry being upset he wasn't targeted.

I hate to do this to you but here's Joe Montana on the subject, below. I notice also how it went from he's absolutely a diva, to he had diva tendencies, in the span of a page.. those aren't exactly the same claims SWH.. here is Joe..

JOE MONTANA: JERRY RICE FAR FROM A DIVA WR

Hall of Famer Joe Montana talked about diva receivers and how Jerry Rice was the opposite.

Nothing, he was my point. Where is Deebo a diva?
Anybody calling Deebo a diva has to believe every great WR was a diva. It then makes the term useless.

Yup, course all WRs want the ball.. it probably sucks when you are cooking your matchup and the ball doesn't come your way, and the great ones are routinely dominating their matchup. Diva to me is to the extent you are making it about you, and hurting the club. I don't see that from Deebo or Jerry, or BA. Kyle's probably a heck of a coach, cuz all our dudes seem team first, and that comes from top down, JL with a role there also.
Skill players usually are more "diva" relative to other positions because they're used to getting the most attention, the ball, highlights, most recognizable players etc.

i wouldn't say deebo is a diva. I hope we keep both him and Aiyuk. Skill positions are just usually the most colorful personalities and because of being they're used to being treated, get their egos bruised the easiest. That's all it is, IMO.

All of the Jerry Rice replies were in response to that post. And many more like it.

I then hyperbulled about jerry. I referenced him breaking a CAREER 30yr standing record as showboating. Then his last years with the seahawks and broncos as a 40yr old not playing ST.

The majority of the best WRs in NFL history have been divas.

Not the GOAT tho, or the GOAT before that GOAT, or the GOAT before that
Anybody who calls Deebo a diva also must consider Rice a diva.
Red Ferrari with FLASH80 as a plate, demanding the ball, getting in arguments with a HoF QB, posing in the opposing teams endzone arms spread, quitting because he is only a 3rd string and not playing special teams.
BTW. Deebo came in and just SNATCHED BA's thread.
But i hope BA stays, but i am sure Jennings will be gone if they retain BA though.

They can't keep all 3, Deebo & BA are doable, JJ isn't, he's gonna get $10M-$15M a yr IMO when he's a UFA in 2025.
Hopefully Aiyuk sees this...

Straight up disrespect, how the F*ck are Treylon Burks, Hollywood Brown, JuJu, Jeudy, London, Watson, Thielen, etc.... Better than BA? Who's is this, Fanatics?

Doesn't it say WR1 tiers, meaning its only ranking the #1 WR on each team? That's why a guy like Valdes-Scantling is on the list and not Aiyuk.

Unless your point is that Aiyuk should feel disrespected for not being considered the WR1 on our team...
