Lol that's the smeeze, a Bay Area dance. Aiyuk acclimated to the Bay real quick. KB did it a few years ago on a TD, too. s**t, it was probably KB that taught him.

I'm sure KB did teach him that

Yeah, at least Cruz could dance, Aiyuk has no rhythm, lol.
Hope this doesn't turn into a 'do something, anything' thread.

Kyle's dealt with great receives like Julio Jones, so I'm on his side.

Even if we lose games bc of it?

which game have we lost? I don't think we've lost any games yet cause he didn't play the best receiver out there.

Huh? I was obviously speaking about future games. AOL keyword IF. Also, Aiyuk is a better wr than Sherfield. Coaches sometimes stubbornly bench players and it could easily cost the team a game(s). If Aiyuk keeps splitting time or better yet getting little to no targets, I guess you'll be ok with not only losing that production but games to make a point. Horrible move.

There are plenty of diva wrs or wrs that produce at a remarkable level that coaches don't do this to and avoid losing games bc of it. Imagine if Andy Reid wanted to make an example of Tyrek Hill? The chiefs wouldn't make it to the SB let alone get out of the divisional round of the playoffs. I support Shanahan to a degree but I support the way Reid handled Hill more, wether it's demanding more at practice or off the field bc the team doesn't suffer a loss bc of it which the niners WILL if this keeps up.

It's one thing to demand more from a player, it's a completely different thing to demote him or reduce his playing time. That's what coaching is for and getting on the players during practice

Again, Aiyuks last 6 games he fully played in he was AVERAGING with horrible qb play
95 yards
9 receptions
.7 Tds

I'm pretty sure it will be a moot point bc Aiyuk will hopefully get every opportunity to get his reps and targets back starting this week if Shanahan knows what's good for the offense and ultimately the team

you're talking about games that hasn't happened yet and not sure if its going to happen yet as if it has happened lol... I didn't state I was okay with losing, you said that with your in the future predictions as if its going to happen as facts. Show me proof that it has happened in the Shanny era that we lost cause he didn't play the best wr because shanny wanted to prove a point, until then give kudos to the coach for his ways... this is a 2nd year receiver we're dealing with here not a freaken established vet I have not once mentioned that Aiyuk isnt a good, could be great receiver lol

Sometimes, Shanny just needs to shut up. He said Brandon was nursing a hammy and at the same time saying that Sherfield was out playing him. Just don't say anything next time and let things just play out.

It doesn't matter if he's a second year wr vs an established vet. Point being that was a risky move and if we weren't playing the worst team in the league we could've and most probably would've lost so I'm thankful Shanahan did this against Det.

My point which I think you missed was this can't keep up bc we will lose without Aiyuk so I will not give kudos to our coach if I think it can be handled another way.....which I already mentioned thru coaching or at practice or vets taking him under their wing not demoting him during a game. You act like Shanahan has some great track record in his "era" in dealing with these type of situations when it's only been a problem with a few players far less talented than Aiyuk.

Would you support this kind of treatment if it was Bosa or Warner? Just curious. Blindly supporting a coach is not too wise imo

Yeah that would of been better I believe. Let's hope this public message pisses off Aiyuk to start destroying cbs like at the end of last year when he was doing that regularly
