This post would make perfect sense if he missed week 1.
Does that mean he was outperformed by Sherfield? 🤔

Dude was definitely not 100% Sunday. I could see him running with a little bit of a limp on film.

So, if you're down two X receivers and playing some guys in spots they haven't practiced as much, the spacing and timing will be off on some plays. I'm sure they felt the risk was worth it.

So why even put him out there then if that's the case? We all know how bad hammy injuries can linger...there has to be a bit more to this.
No way KS is just gonna risk his best WR missing a lot of time for a week 1 game.
Shanahan on Aiyuk/Sherfield reps:

"Trent's been a hell of a football player since he's been here. Aiyuk's been a little inconsistent because he's been in and out with the injury.
That's what we felt was the best chance for us this week.
These three days are important... (1/2)
in practice; how we balance out our game plan, how do we balance out our routes.

I'm happy with Aiyuk. It's nothing against Aiyuk, I'm just also happy with Trent too...
If he wants to be out there and play every single play, he's got to be a lot better than the guy behind him."

ugh I hope Aiyuk gets his s**t together. Talent is there. Sounds like he got beat out in camp.
the WR1 in the 2020 draft might have been a bit much at this pt.

They are staying at the Greenbrier resort, no night life or after hour parties this week. Just a modified camp to get their heads and bodies in shape. Although I heard several of the players who play golf had their clubs shipped there, so there will be golf played, but sunburns are better than hang overs.
