I'm telling you, plain "stupid", "ignorant", "dumb", or whatever convenient dismissive adjective one can find, doesn't explain this behavior. Nor does attempts at explaining his behavior excuse it, because ultimately, he (along with his wife and kid) is the one paying the price for this behavior. Personally, I think using the fact that he's been paid millions to basically dismiss the guy's humanity, as if the millions he's been paid alone somehow absolves him of normal human frailties, is itself, well, obtuse, "stupid", "ignorant", "dumb", and insanely simplistic.
Being paid millions doesn't mean you magically have achieved human perfection and devoid of mental defects. Nor does being paid millions mean that you automatically give up the ability to be understood like regular human beings.
Clearly, this guy has some serious mental issues. I read that this behavior isn't new from Brandon. I coach football at the youth level. I always tell my players, among other things, that "talent will only take you but so far in life". Clearly Brandon's mental issues have more longevity than how far his talents can take him. Money doesn't change you, it exposes and amplifies who you already are.
If this isn't new behavior from Brandon, then I have to say it's an indictment of the people close to him (I know that's gonna trigger some folks). It would indicate that too many people in Brandon's life have looked the other way because they saw how far his talents could take him, and by extension take them as well.
The millions that Brandon has been paid has done nothing but exposed and amplified his poor mental health that everyone around him in his life simply ignored. And now that he's reached the limits of how far his talents can take him, his poor mental health is expressing itself unfettered.
Brandon needs, and clearly has needed for quite some time, professional help. Because he's on a deluded, self-destructive path that won't end well.
