People really tried defending this guy.

49ers better have security in the event this dude does show up to the building. I wouldn't feel safe around this dude if I was Kyle, John, Paraag or Jed.

Aiyuk could be right other than weeks 1-6 or up to when he went AWOL. I would think the 49ers were required to pay him those weeks even if not healthy before he had left the team but maybe I'm wrong on that

I'm not 100 percent sure, but his base salary and active/game bonuses are probably what would be paid weekly. Those are very small numbers for 2025.

His main pay was in the form of an option bonus which became guaranteed 4/1/25 and was paid before the season (not totally sure exactly when).

That caption tho lol
When BA gets released he's going to show up to the commanders facility thinking he is on the team and will be escorted out by security.

There's a ton of circumstantial evidence in the media that he was healthy enough to play at some point in 2025. MM even hinted at a week 1 return. Then KS talked about opening up his practice window mid season. Then we hear Kittle saying he was running >22 MPH on Week 6-7. He went AWOL. That's why he was put on the did not report list. Maybe he never allowed a physical to be done by the 49ers so they never had the chance to "clear" him to play. I think he's just got the mental maturity of a petulant child (funny because he claims that about KS).

The sad part is, he comes from a good family with good parents and has no excuse to be this much of an idiot. He is still upset about not getting enough targets in the SB. That's what led to this whole fiasco prior to the contract/injury.

Anyway, my stance doesn't change on Peters. He is a scumbag if he signs this guy. He's essentially justifying this prolonged tantrum Aiyuk is having. FWIW, he probably doesn't want to, but we know who has all the power in Washington -- Jayden Daniels' mother.
If the 49ers in any way prevented Aiyuk from playing.. Aiyuk would be saying this loudly. It would be major news in 2025 also.

Exactly. He chose not to play in 2025 after his guarantees were voided (which he did not fight because he didn't follow rehab protocols - Sherman highlighted this). Surprisingly he still showed up to the facility it seems after they were voided. Something else happened after that where he got even more offended and he decided to go AWOL...but he doesn't have the right to just not play. You get paid, you play when ready. Your feelings don't matter. That's why the 49ers really need to go after whatever portion of his signing bonus that they can. And now all this erratic behavior - there has to be some kind of language in his contract for conduct detrimental to the team. Calling your GM a "creep" and your HC a "child" is about as detrimental as you can get.

beyond the obvious mental health crisis, I think Aiyuk will learn the same lesson Le'veon Bell did; it's tough to miss two years in this league and return to form.
anyone really think he'll walk on that team and take reps from Mclaurin, Mccaffrey, Burks, or Dyami Brown? I don't think he'd even make the 53 man roster.

He didn't even look good before he got injured. Dude's living in an alternate reality

I don't think anything happened but him realizing that he fumbled away a large amount of gtd money. If indeed something happened, again BA would be letting the world know.

If he stayed and played, I think he would've been paid as a week to week check to check without any huge bonuses? Idk
BA can't wait to be on the Commanders practice squad. Dude is going from 30mil year to 18k-22k a week

Before these past few weeks I thought it pretty realistic he get a base of like $6-8m with chance for incentives but now I legitimately don't know that he'd get signed at all, and if he did it might be for much less.

Whatever you thought of him before this, he has inarguably done a lot of damage to his playing career with these videos/antics. Never say never in the NFL though, someone could roll the dice after he gets cut
I know it's petty but i really don't care i wish the Niners would just not release him to screw him over at least not release him until the last possible second. If any one could clear this up for me. When is the last possible second? is it at the 53 man roster deadline or week 1? i want to not release but also don't want to pay him anything or have him take up a roster spot.

Anyone else remember this? I only remember Herm saying positive things.

This is news to me because I don't remember Scotty saying this at all

I don't remember Mcluelesshan or Hern saying anything bad. Herm I get because other recruits may see that and not want to play for you. Scott loves to talk about what the 49ers did wrong so I would think I would have seen this. Maybe I did and forgot??? Interesting though. It seems the leopard didn't change his spots.
