This is news to me because I don't remember Scotty saying this at all

There was nothing negative about Brandon Aiyuk at the time he was drafted, at least nothing widely publicized.

Herm I'm sure also said positive things about Jack Jones also. He seems like the type to always believe the best outta his players.

Before these past few weeks I thought it pretty realistic he get a base of like $6-8m with chance for incentives but now I legitimately don't know that he'd get signed at all, and if he did it might be for much less.

Whatever you thought of him before this, he has inarguably done a lot of damage to his playing career with these videos/antics. Never say never in the NFL though, someone could roll the dice after he gets cut

The chiefs come to mind if the commanders say he'll no. There is not a law you can break that would turn the chiefs away. And plus they are desperate for wide receivers. Imagine rashee Rice and Brandon aiyuk hanging out on a weekend?

I was editing my post at the same time you commented with the same point, but you're correct.

Whatever red flags there may have been were not made a well-known thing. In many instances they are but not in this case.

I think there were enough red flags after his rookie (with the benefit of hindsight ). Shanahan really had to ride his ass to get him to an NFL level WR.

To aiyuks credit, he took to this coaching but then seemingly fell into his old ways. Everyone loses
Now this fool is comparing his situation to slavery. Smh. Professional victim. I don't care where or when this dude goes.

It's obvious his boy is telling him I got you. The GM will sign you if I tell him to and Jayden is probably right. Peters is going to cater to his franchise QB. Now what Daniels can't do is get Aiyuk more than the minimum so we'll see if Brandon decides to get stupid with Washington. I doubt he would at this point in time. Washington is playing the part of captain save-a-ho and Brandon won't want to embarrass his boy.

I am not convinced Peters is as close to Lynch and Kyle as a lot of people think. No inside knowledge but a gut feeling after watching this organization since this regime was put into place. Either way Peters was aware of the red flags Aiyuk had surrounding him coming out of college (I'm sure he spoke or spoke to someone who spoke to Herm Edwards). The 49ers still drafted BA but maybe it was all Kyle. Kyle was the one sprinting around the facility to get the Aiyuk trade canceled at the last minute. So maybe Peters doesn't want Aiyuk but if Daniels does then it really doesn't matter what Adam Peters wants.

The 49ers can still go after Aiyuk's money if they released him today right??? I was on the side of keeping this guy until Aiyuk forced the 49ers to let him go. But I'm more concerned with the 49ers winning a SB this season than this idiot. The slavery comment shows how truly ignorant this dude is. 49ers need to have this handled by the time players report. As soon as the idiot beat(off) writers start asking players, coaches and front office personnel questions about this jackass Aiyuk starts to become the distraction he longs to be. Aiyuk is not nor will ever be a talented enough player to cause a distraction that adversely effects any 49ers season.

1 very good year and 1 year where it took the 18th game to get over 1K yards is not worth this stupidity. You can get your money back with him playing for someone else. The 49ers should not be afraid of BA's belt. Let him go be a Commander and see that fool week 6. If the 49ers do get their money back the jokes about whatever Aiyuk were to do in that game write themselves.

BA won't be a distraction if he gets put on the SBL list for the upcoming season.

49ers/players are not waiting for him, the team has moved past this
