News flash: Brandon Aiyuk signs with the Washington Commanders in a 1-year prove-it contract: $18.4m fully guaranteed. Fine print: All $18.4m payment must be made directly to the SF 49ers for Aiyuk's contract violations. Aiyuk is still subject to pay stated and federal tax on the contract.

I might be alone with this thinking; but given the relationship that Lynch/Shanny has with Peter's/Quinn, I'd be kind of surprised if they signed him after his public creeper and toddler comments.

The way Aiyuk been acting is like it's a foregone conclusion. I hope for the opposite and nobody ever signs this freaking clown

I told you lol
The 49ers should absolutely get $$$ back for 2025. He refused to play and report in 2025. How can he be paid a salary for 2025 if he refused to play? Get the prorated portion of his guarantee back also. Also turn over every rock to try to find evidence of tampering. Maximize benefit to the team. I would also suspend him from training camp so it's not possible for him to report to camp and get released due to fear of injury.

Also, f**k the Commanders. Adam Peters is a piece of s**t if he signs him after all the antics and after everything he has said about Shanahan and Lynch, who are supposedly his friends.

Next post he will be dancing with a DC contract while still under a 49ers contract lol

It definitely should be investigated if he's signs, let's say the commanders did tamper they gotta be pissed that hes making it so obvious. Hasn't even signed and is already causing problems for them.
lol so much for the "he's taking advice now" theory

what a weirdo

I think 49ers would have a tough time getting money back for 2025 because he could claim he wasn't healthy. Really there are conflicting reports about why he wasn't cleared to play last year. But we definitely know he won't be playing this season or next and it's because of his own doing.

You want to push your way out of town then you don't get to keep that whole signing bonus which was prorated for a 4 year deal(including the 5th year he had left over from his rookie deal).

I wouldn't call Peters a POS if he signs Aiyuk after all of this. In the end it's about doing whats best for your team, I would just be surprised that he feels Aiyuk is giving them that.

I've said on here a bunch of times, there is certainly a chance that Aiyuk comes in to that team and it's a huge success for little $ BUT the odds of it blowing up in a big way is vastly more likely than the successful path happening IMO.

I also think the way this has gone down Jayden getting Aiyuk into that building would be a bad thing for him. Too much risk for him to lose the locker room because of a friend who may not take this as seriously as he does.

If Aiyuk's legal strategy is "Nah, I'm good," that's usually the point where the collection attorneys start treating your balance sheet like a treasure map.

good. He better start pawning off that bling bling he was flexing on YouTube almost a year ago
The funniest part is that if the 49ers win and claw back the whole $18.4M, Aiyuk doesn't get to say, "But I only got about $11M after taxes!"

Nope. The bill is still $18.4M.

Then he gets to spend the next few years arguing with the IRS, lawyers, and accountants about getting some of it back. A truly elite financial strategy.
