Brandon Aiyuk is a Quitter! Pick #25, 2020 NFL Draft

Once again the Mike Florio's and Grant Cohn's of the world show they talk out of their arse. Calling for as someone else called him "Born Asinine" (classic btw) to be released and don't even know the rules of the game. About as intelligent as, oh nevermind.
I've said this before, but his behavior strikes me as someone who is bipolar or depressed. If he's in fact depressed, I don't think showing up to the facility will be easy for him.

It explains so much.

I think we can reasonably piece some previous mysteries together now.

1. Aiyuk has his $$ voided in July. Is likely told, or attempted to be told by his agent/etc.
2. News leaks in October it was voided. Is explained to him again.
3. Now that he understands, he officially quits on the team.
4. "Fires" his agent (I get a feeling his agent is unaware he was "fired" in November since he still shows as Aiyuks agent as of today).
5. Likely Aiyuk has treated his dealings with his agent as he has every other professional acquaintance: ghosting them.

We'll find out someday!

Even if he told his agent he fired him Aiyuk doesn't strike me as a guy who would be on top of filing any paperwork in relation to it.

I agree with you. I've seen that behavior in relatives that struggle wit bipolar and depression.

No matter the cause, it is sad to see this talented young man so troubled.

My goodness. Then the mental issues started last year. Poor guy. He's delusional if he thinks the Commanders will sign him when he's released. Don't know what it was but something broke him last year. It's worse than we thought.

Agreed. I've been pounding the table that I worry about his mental health. Something has broken mentally with him.

I said this back when the guy was sending cryptic messages at the 49ers on his YouTube account. Still hilarious thinking back how people on here tried to argue he was attacking the media.
Now that Aiyuk has revealed he doesn't have an agent warning him about things (even if he wouldn't listen)... I was curious who else could be around him to at least warn him about certain decisions he's making, even if they are not experts in the field. But at least common sense. The one person who should be worried would be his Wife. And I thought at least she has been with him this whole time, but according to social page... she hasn't posted since May.... soooooooo she might not have been be happy about what was about to go on.. She was at that forest looking place too though in May... but maybe she dipped after Brandon stopped listening. Probably after June 1st, when he probably thought he'd get cut..He probably lied to her like everything was all good...and of course that would cause family problems... Most of his videos since then, have been just himself I believe.

Only person Brandon has let on that he's communicated with was his brother in Cali (trying to find out if he still had a warrent ).

I honestly hope someone is doing a wellness check. The more that comes out, the more I think he could potentially be a danger to himself.
Didn't see if this was posted yet but it's amazing work.

I know that the injury he suffered was horrific and that takes a toll
Then he had to have major surgery and then work himself back to health all while being disconnected from the game and teammates
He had to do this fresh off a contentious contract negotiation where the team was second guessing signing him long term
Then the team was trying to trade him as he was recovering
Then he misses check-ins
Then his guarantees are voided
Then he looks to be on the path to return
Then the team likely told him he could return but he'd have to earn every penny going forth
Then he left the squad

And now here we are today where the high low hit from hell may have broken him a wee bit

This concludes my speculation and data dumping

I see a lot of blame on everyone but Aiyuk.

Also has anyone but Aiyuk claimed the team tried to trade him while he was injured? And even if they did is that any different than what the Raiders were doing with Maxx Crosby?

Aiyuk isn't the first guy to deal with a tough contract negotiation. He's not the first guy to get injured.

Yet he still decided to not do the bare minimum to keep the 49ers from voiding his guarantees. He could still try and push his way out with that money.
