I like this line. I agree with it. Every Webzone fan is focusing on the Commanders. Why? Because that's what BA wants? UckFa BA. Training Camp is next on the schedule. What happens during TC? A buncha players get injured. Some are out for the season. This happens with every team. Some needy team is going to come knocking on SF's door this August. If the 49ers really want to get a pick for BA, there it is. Everyone around the NFL knows this guy is a HEADCASE. So, there are no conditions on the trade. It's just done. If the Commanders really want him, I figure yesterday would have been the time to swing a deal. Because someone else is going to get needy and greedy.

Agreed. Hes right on this. Signing Ayiuk to a big contract was the worst decision this front office has made, and they made some bad ones. Ayiuk was never a top wr in the game, Shannahan just made him look like one.

Not really, and it aint close. Teams overcome bad contracts all the time. Signing him to a big contract after him producing for the team, was not bad and its not even bad right now due to voided guarantees. No one could have predicted him doing all this crap and jumping the shark completely, because this is unprecedented.

Using three first round picks for a QB who gave the team like four starts and has total 200 career attempts in five years hes been in the league, is by far a much worse decision that prevented this team from winning a SB.

He said the word 'stupid' but that's not really the point. The point is the top of the 49ers front office and KS were not on the same page with the extension, and there was regret and subsequent repercussions because of it.

All the focus in this thread is almost exclusively on Aiyuk. How crazy he is, he has CTE, he's fat… hanging on every stupid social media post like everything revolves around, or is related to, this situation. There has been very little discussion about the team's management of both his extension and what happened afterward.

what are ALL THE RED FLAGS ? a lot of his holdout negotiation tactics were similar to other 49er holdouts and other WRs in the league

one more time, literally no one would predict what happened because its unprecedented and unheard of. 99% of players holdout due to money (business and not personal), and once they get paid they are content.

The team is also content after those negotiations are successfully completed. That wasn't the case here.

If we had a single quality journalist working around this team, this would have been pressed. We don't.

Thats another aspect, really. The statement I was replying to made it seem like it was obvious that BA was giving off some crazy red flags and they ignored them. I dont think thats the case at all.
