It's a standoff. Can't blame any team waiting for a release. A very low conditional trade would still expose any team to ridicule. The 49ers can wait until a week before game one to release him. It's 2-way hardball. Training camp starts 4 weeks earlier. What if he reports to work?
Anybody trading for him inherits a gamble on his '26 salary. It's 'only' $1.2 million but the bonus figures get complicated meaning a renegotiation could be contentious.

Too many NFL players are requesting a trade over salaries so it appears 3 year limits on contracts are in order. The niners should very wary of handing out big money unless their home grown candidates are squeaky clean for a minimum 3 years.

This is obvious, that's been the problem the whole time. I'm shocked anyone even wants to entertain bringing this fool in.

I legit do not think he even wants to play. He's not posting workout videos or anything which he would if he wanted to get anything more than a bare minimum contract. He doesn't even deserve a spot over a player who is actually present and trying to make a roster.

How is it Shanahan and Lynch's fault, they just wanted to mend things between them before his extension and after. 9ers had a trade in place with the Steelers, but Shanahan talked Aiyuk out of wanting to be traded one last time. If anything Aiyuk b***hed out of being traded because all he wants to do is be with his friend. He could've moved forward with the trade and went to the Steelers, but he's doing the same s**t as last year!!!

Where is his agent? His agent is Ryan Williams with Athletes First. I did a quick search and it appears his agent hasn't commented on anything since 2024. Wonder if he still represents BA? Probably dropped him last year when BA voided his contract with the 49ers.
