Amazing how much these players lives can change, He went from being a first round pick to a persona non grata in 5 years.

We could pull a Brock Osweiler and trade picks away to a team just take him…

He'll be cut with a post June 1st designation in early March.

Unless some stupid team is willing to offer us anything for him that is which is pretty much impossible although I'm looking at you Raiders, Browns and Jets.

Why? His contract marker is 9/1 and he has to report to us for reinstatement

Why should we be doing him any favors?

His contract is still on the books, only the guaranteed money in 2026 has been voided. There's still money for 2027 and 2028 you realize that right?

Best case scenario is to cut him with a post June 1st designation so the dead Cap spreads over 2 years.

9/1 is the date to look for via his contract. We're in no rush and we ain't here to do any favors

actually, as of right now, he is not. He needs to reinstate himself
Clearly no team would trade for him because he could just no-show on them as well. The only inkling is that he would play for Washington Commanders. But how long would it take for Mr. Pouty to sour on them as well? Plus, in a trade, they would assume his salary. Why would a team want to do that for such a high risk?

He get's cut - his salary is gone right? Dead money for 49ers?
Then a new team can negotiate a new salary with all kinds of safeguards - which will just piss him off lol.

Why though? Either way the 49ers would lose close to $20M if they deal him pre June 1, makes no sense to deal picks to just offload him when the cap hits are the same with or without a trade.

We got s ton of holes to fill, that wouldn't be smart
Where is BA's agent in all of this? One would think his agent would be telling him to contact the team and hold onto the contract that pays them both. This is what leads me to think that there is some severe mental health or substance use issue, because he would need to have cut off all ties with his agent as well.

It seems to me his agent is distancing himself as far as possible, at least publicly. BA is toxic.

5 years is a whole lot of years in sports

Brady was still playing 5 years ago
Deebo was one of the most feared offensive players in all of football 5 years ago
Deshaun Watson got a fully guaranteed monster contract 5 years ago

We live in a different world than we did five years ago.
