It's described in the first paragraph of what you posted yesterday:

Rather than a holdout or an excused absence, this list is for players who simply leave the team. Once a team places a player on this list, they have 5 days to return to the team. If they do so within 5 days, the club can add them back to the roster (if a spot is available), or cut them as they so choose. Once 5 days have passed, the player can be placed on the Reserve/Retired list, added to the active list (if room is made), or waived. If they ever decide they want to play football again, a player seeking reinstatement from retirement can only play for their original club. In this case, the player does not accrue any seasons for the year spent on reserve, and their contract is "tolled"; a contractual term that describes a pause in the progression of the contract. For example: A player would be paid at their 2013 rate in 2014 if their contract were tolled for the 2013 season.

Idk maybe I'm missing something, it doesn't say his contract can be voided just that it's paused. I hope we can just cut him with no cap hit I think that's justifiable but from what I read it's 30M in dead money once we let him go

You're correct. It's not a mechanism to avoid this cap hit. It can only delay it on a short term basis.
Is there a worse flameout for a WR than this? Antonio Brown I guess, but at least he went crazy later and made his money. I suppose Rae Carruth was much worse, but that's a whole other level.

Henry Ruggs has him covered.

Didn't we just see Ayuik push a 100mph in a 25mph zone in the middle of the day? That could have easily been him. Ruggs was blackout drunk, Ayuik literally did that blowing past Levi Stadium days after the team voided his guaranteed $. This isn't just a lapse in judgment, I believe this has been thought through and might even say calculated by Ayuik.

A shorter version of this was previously posted, but he doesn't seem to be good with his money and he will be blowing through that soon enough. Right now it doesn't seem like he wants to play.

maybe I was reading to much into it. But the word "flameout" coupled with Ruggs causing a woman and a dog to burn in their car to death.

Josh Gordon at least wanted to play...Aiyuk just seems disinterested.

Plenty of WRs that had issues and either got arrested or had off field or mental issues. I'm not sure why but WRs seem to have more than their share of problems.
